The previous record didn't last long as that was the Vikings OT game from earlier this year which clocked in at 3 hours and 46 minutes. If anyone wondered why it felt so late when the game was over, that was the reason. https://www.wivb.com/sports/sundays-bills-game-was-longest-home-game-in-franchise-history/ God help us all if we ever have to suffer through Tony Romo for that long EVER again in this life. Was just extremely slow 1st half. Watching the game, not really sure why though either??

I think it was a combination of many factors 1) Lots of incompletions 2) Not many running plays 3) Lots of official reviews 4) Injuries 5) Not many sustained drives 6) Dolphins routinely using every second (and then some) of the playclock. The game was taking so long that CBS even started skipping some TV timeouts!

Yeah that’s what makes for longer games. Long sustained drives make games shorther.

Without the refs calling anything. I was there and rarely watched the clock. But one time the Dolphins were in the huddle and the play clock NEVER started.
