You need ID to do any number of things in life. Not wanting ID to be shown at voting booths is so that they can get others to vote for people. This has way more to do with the pulling a bus up to a homeless shelter and offering free lunch for votes, and those votes go to the party of entitlements. Republicans don’t want people that are too lazy or irresponsible to get IDs voting, they know those are the democrat’s entitlement base. That is if the GOP takes back congress as the polls suggest they will. if that somehow doesn't happen? Well then it will be the most secure election in US history again! The list includes the 2000 presidential election, in which problems with absentee ballots in Florida were a little-noticed footnote to other issues. In the last presidential election, 35.5 million voters requested absentee ballots, but only 27.9 million absentee votes were counted, according to a study by Charles Stewart III, a political scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
