SOCIALIST SUNK: Centrist Democrats sink Biden’s nominee for top bank regulator.

Five Democratic senators have told the White House they won’t support Saule Omarova to head the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, effectively killing her nomination for the powerful bank-regulator position.

Well if we had a pipeline coming into our country from canada to off set the oil production that the saudi's and russia are going to hold back the price of fuel wouldn't have went up 60% in the last year .

It's amazing that just a little more than a year ago prices were 60% less than they are now given the only difference is one Pres. isn't smart enough to figure out how to run the business part of a country it's all part of his Green new deal plan cut domestic oil production ramp up the electric car industry and wind mills plus solar .

Price the people into making his choice .

Democrats Rush to Take Credit for Something They Opposed Because Nothing Matters

Weekly jobless claims fell to their lowest point in over 50 years, and the Democrats and their mainstream media allies want you to know about it. MSNBC’s resident terrorist sympathizer and Qatari mouthpiece, Mehdi Hasan, shared the news with glee, chastising those that would dare not champion the development in comparison to the record-high inflation the country is experiencing.

But like all things in politics and statistics, context is everything. This number represents a single week, the very definition of a cherry-picked stat, but more importantly this was expected and not at all the result of Democrat policies.

Why do I say that? Because it was the Democrats, including the Joe Biden administration, that had previously fought to extend enhanced unemployment benefits. It was Republicans that insisted on letting them lapse with the idea being that people would then be more likely to look for work. Sure enough, that’s exactly what’s happened. The enhanced benefits expired in September and we’ve seen sharp week over week decreases in claims over the two months since then.

Now, by what logic can Democrats now claim credit for the results of something they vehemently fought against? They wanted people to remain on the unemployment rolls. They fought to keep them there, seeing it as a way to transform the economy. Republicans took the political beating in opposing the extension of enhanced benefits, and now Democrats want to say: “See what we did!”

Yeah, that’s not gonna fly.

Dems: “We must extend enhanced unemployment benefits!”

GOP: “No, it incentivizes people to stay on unemployment.”

(Two months later…) Dems: “Look at how many people WE got off unemployment after enhanced benefits ended!”

GOP: “But you were against ending them…”

Sure but its okay for your guy to cancel the pipe line not only putting hundreds of Americans out of work but also putting hundreds if not thousands of Canadians out of work & leaving them with the debt of the products they had already spent millions on to build the pipeline .

Not to mention letting the Canadian gov't know that America can not be counted on fulfilling a contract then you add to it the fact that Joe by executive order probably 1 of the 50 some in the 1st 100 days in office the most ever stopped domestic oil drilling to cause higher gas prices .

The guy is a POS & doesn't have a clue of how to run a country store let alone a country .

See that's the ignorants of that post gas was $1.78 not $3.50 (that''s what we B**ch about) and it's only directly due to this POTUS executive orders to stop domestic oil production and in the future stopping the pipe line to keep America energy independents all while developing alternative energies .

Add to it the ramifications of pissing off a life long ally while doing so plus the fact that if you raise the minimum wage to $15 a journeyman wage will have to double because flipping hamburgers is not worth $15 a hr .

Use to be out of a week with 7 days x 24 hrs per day being 168 hrs a week minus 40 = 128 hrs left to be productive i use to go work a second job to make more money but todays kids are L.A.Z.Y. and want all the entitlements/free bees of being a American !

Sure they need to raise the minimum wage to $9 maybe $10 a hr but for the most part places have done that on their own because they need and want good help but we also need to know that by doing so it's all relevant meaning when you do raise wages all other prices will have to rise accordingly but ignorants doesn't see that and never will ...

The drug prices they won't be as apt to put a cap on because that is the back door money from the Super Packs during elections for the politicians along with that of the chemical companies while the EPA, FDA, & others that are suppose to keep us safe look the other way so it all can continue .

But you would rather B**CH about something that you don't like about Trump still a year after a new POTUS has been screwing things up rather than see the big picture which proves your ignorants even more with every "IT WAS TRUMPS FAULT" answer and tweets from people like this wombat ...

By the way, the debt limit deadline is almost here

36d0533b-b818-434a-94f6-fc3a60a54ad6-450

The last time the Senate had to wrangle with the question of funding the operation of the government was in October. That settled the question of keeping the lights on past the November elections, but not all that much further. In fact, the small measure they took at that time is set to run out in a little over two weeks, on December 15th. Not coincidentally, that’s also right around the time that the Senate is supposed to adjourn for the year. But as The Hill points out today, Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell don’t appear to even be close to having any sort of deal in the works. This is a convoluted situation with quite a few players involved and it’s being driven almost entirely by political calculations. The Democrats would love to have a deal that puts the matter to rest until after the midterms, but the Republicans have repeatedly stated that they want the Democrats to raise the debt limit by themselves. There may not be any sort of middle ground available here.

Congress is only a couple of weeks away from hitting the Dec. 15 deadline to raise the federal debt limit and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) don’t appear to be anywhere close to a deal.

Democrats insist that Schumer will not burn up a week of Senate floor time to use the budget reconciliation process to raise the debt limit with only Democratic votes.

And Republicans say there’s no way that McConnell will be able to round up 10 Republican votes to quash an expected filibuster from conservatives such as Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and allow Democrats to pass debt-limit legislation with a simple majority under regular order.

lmao - lol - lmao - Trump had to SIGN AN EXECUTIVE ORDER to get the pipeline going... and yet, it STILL HAD TO GO THRU an ESR.

Construction began in April 2020, but that same month, a federal court said that the project had to go through a full endangered species review. TC Energy appealed the ruling, but the Supreme Court upheld it in July.

Maybe here in the US construction started in 2020 but EC energy have been manufacturing pipe and paying people to move equipment and they had started building in their country since the US permits were okay'd in 2017 it's just the liberal BS red tape here that had stopped the building of it here in the US .

Then the loss of jobs is always a plus 1000 people in Canada lost jobs as soon as your President stopped the pipeline on top of the production jobs being lost north of the border i bet they are saying Thanks Joe ...
