To me he's as dangerous as anyone in the league. He fumbled and it turned in to a Denver score but he had a good run back to start the 2nd half that set the stage for a blowout. This guy has solid all year. The reason to sit him is preserving his body for the big games to come.

we havent had a great returner like him since ...uhmmm.that guy in the late 90s...

He’s had some good returns but he’s had more that have not reached the 25.  Don’t get so triggered when people have a different opinion that you.  He’s fumbled twice on returns and has had multiple returns from deep in the end zone to inside the 15.  He is averaging 29.4 yards per return which includes end zone yardage.  Statistically, his kick returns from the end zone have neither helped or hurt the teams average field position, but his fumbling has (1 punt, 1 kickoff return).

I feel like you're giving the guy a bad rap. We haven't had a returner that could take it all the way in many years. He made the Pro Bowl last year and that's stat driven. Having an average run back to the 30 is way above league average. Do you think that Beane would have brought him back at hefty cap #s if he wasn't a huge positive?  Every aggressive kick/punt returner fumbles once or twice. Their getting blown up by world class athletes that want to take their head off.

Forgetting Roscoe Parish?

His average run is not to the 30.  It’s 30 yards, which includes end zone yardage.  If he returns 5 yards deep he’s getting to the 25.

the best kick returner we ever had, IMO, was Terrance McGee. But he became too valuable as a CB and got pulled off ST. So smooth on those kick returns!

it’s funny because Robert’s has basically the opposite style— very upright, straight, almost violent running style.

Why are we still going back and forth with this. The Bills are an elite team with Roberts returning kickoffs and punts. Sean and Beane love him and after he fumbled he had a 54 yard run back to start the 3rd qtr. Do you see any of your fellow Bills fans wanting to dump him for a cheaper option.

I am not impressed with Roberts as a star ST specialist . He is not electric returner with amazing speed and several TDs on his highlights. When we cut our WRs to make 53 men roster I would keep other WR. The only his advantage he was reliable last year. But this season he already has 2 fumbles. And still doesn’t have a TD return. I hope next year Bills will have a real speedster with reliable hands  as their return specialist

Worst opinion I've probably read this week. His stats prove his worth, but nice try.

Not everyone follows the status quo.  And with the potential financial crunch next year he could be considered a luxury and not be extended.  Its only 1.5M but still every penny counts when you have a bunch of talent to extend/re sign
