Batting Average 2.0

Updates:

 - Added date joined.

 - Used 1/1/2018 as the date Rep Points began

 - Created Adjusted Batting Average:

         - Used the percentage of posts since 2018 (assuming an equal number of posts per month) and divided that into reputation points.

9 months after BBMB closed, this place instituted the point system. Haha.

That whole point system is gay.

Not there is anything wrong with that.

Ok yeah, there is something wrong with that.

Its dumb, but I get it. People were pretty crabby when BBMB refugees showed up. I just wondered if* the point system being implemented had anything to do with the BBMB migrants...

Interesting thread.

TBD finally has an analytics department.

This is sure to help us compete better with other AFC East unofficial fan forums.

Bill Belichick has had a point system for his forums for years.  He’s been playing 5d chess for years and we just started scratching the surface.

We’re never going to win the forum championship.

How Billsy of us.

Thought it might be interesting to look at the reputation score relative to the number of posts from various, randomly selected users.  Included myself in the sample.  There are two huge outliers in this data set, @Buffalo_Gal is the clear champion on one end.  I just grabbed a bunch of the posters from a recent thread.  Could be a good addition to the profiles....helpful information, especially for newer people to understand who they are exchanging posts with.

This is kind of funny.   all it proves is that the posters in the PPP love anything pro R and mock anything Liberal and had out Reps like Candy ...

Rep Points count both Good, Meh and Bad.

So tell us ...

Is a laugh a GOOD or BAD indicator?    Are they laughing because the agree or laughing to mock?

Should someone mocked for 9 of 10 posts really show a green (good) average?

I think you only get (+1) for thumbs up, beer, Super Bowl trophy, and laugh. I don’t think you get anything for meh, confused, skeptical or sad.

At one time SDS had to limit the Rep Point system to 10 per day because It was being abused.

Someone mistakenly took a post count as Rep points and reported abuse to Scott.  I know of 3 or 4 people that had 50 to 100 points removed.

As time went on he removed the limitations and now its a free for all.

Had he kept limits it would force the posters to choose wisely rather that as I said hand them out like candy on Halloween

Ahh the way of the Democrats.  Force posters to choose.

How very liberal of you.

Here we just try to ask you not to post your stupidity.  No wonder you have such hard time in PPP.

I am an Independent.

I do not kowtow to one party or the other

Thanks for the insult,  It only strengthens my opinion that if you can't prove you insult.

yet a laugh is  both acceptance and mocking

so it defeats the Reward Only scenario.
