CajunBillsBacker
Awesome! I felt he was the most important of the 3. We already have enough problems on one bookend, would have hated to go into next offseason trying to find 2 bookends. Congrats to Schobel, you deserve it. Bill from NYC
This is VERY good news! DEs are some of the highest paid players in the NFL, right there with LTs and QBs. The contract may seem steep, but will look good in a couple of years, especially if AS continues to develop. Btw, does anybody remember what Winstrom got? Schobel gets $9 Million guaranteed over two years, and slightly under $6 Million per.
JoeF
We got the hometown discount, not on total contract value but on upfront money. Winstrom was $14M SB and $33M total value over 6 years. Besides Aaron is a better player!!! Good job Ol' Whitey you Leslie Neilsen/Phil Donahue looking MF'er...

ndmanley
hell yeah now only Williams and jennings left to sign 22133 Jennings will be franchised if there is no deal by and PW will probably be allowed to leave. That is why drafted Anderson. Unfortunately, that is the reality of today's NFL.
Art in PNS
This is really good news . A little prelude to the opener, just keep ratcheting up the intensity until the Bills blow the Jags right out of Buffalo !!!!!!!!!!
dib
My God this means I'll have a jersey of a player that will be around more than 2 years!
Typical TBD Guy
Jennings will be franchised if there is no deal by and PW will probably be allowed to leave. That is why drafted Anderson. Unfortunately, that is the reality of today's NFL. 22208 Yeah, I think Whitey is already expecting PW to leave. DT's over 30 still command high money on the market, and it's time we go with a bit of a youth movement in our aging defense. One of the following four better step up: Edwards, Bannan, Anderson, and Sape. Edwards is by far the best bet, although his first 3 seasons in the league are nothing to brag about. I'm not sure Jennings will be franchised, but somehow I bet we keep him. Continuity is important on an OL, and Jennings isn't likely to see the kind of money the blue chippers get (Ogden, Pace, etc...) on the open market.
