I wonder if there could be a 24 hour ban for starting new threads after a loss. That might make the world a better place. Just leave one standing whiny thread out there for people to shed tears and evacuate themselves.

Perhaps YOU could learn to self modulate and not come back to TBD until 24hrs after a game.

That way, everyone can be happy...

A guy who 6 months ago believes Peterman can start and do well should be questioned.  I will never know why McDermott treated Allen opposite of how he treated Edmunds.  Beane makes moves based off how McDermott sets the depth chart.  I blame McDermott for 90% of the QB carousel.  His judgment of the most important position in football is a real black eye.  I'm curious how many blow outs can the Pegulas stomach before they are wanting answers.

Bills Offensive Moves with McDermott as HC.

- trade Sammy Watkins for 2nd round pick

- signed Vlad Ducasse,  Patrick DiMarco & Andre Holmes

- don't pick Mahomes or Watson, trade out of the #10 spot

- trade up for Zay Jones

- draft Dion Dawkins

- sign Anquan Boldin

- trade 3rd round pick for Kelvin Benjamin

- bench Tyrod Taylor so Nate Peterman can play

- trade Cordy Glenn and a 1st round pick to move up in the draft

- trade Tyrod Taylor

- sign Chris Ivory

- trade 1st rounder and two 2nds for Josh Allen

- sign Jeremy Kerley

- trade for Cory Coleman

- cut Cory Coleman

- start Nate Peterman as QB1

- trade AJ McCarron for 5th round pick

- sign Derek Anderson

- sign Terrell Pryor

How has McDermott earned another year to try and fix the offense?

This is their OL, their group of QBs, their RBs, and their WRs, and the offense is scoring 10.6 PPG.

Add Hired Friend Juan Castillo.

Wanted to Hire McCoy - Fired from his OC Job

Hired Dennison - Fired

Hired Dabol - Sucks and will be fired

Has a WR coach in charge of development of Josh Allen.

Enough revisionist history wrt Watkins.  He put up perfectly decent #'s with minimal targets as a Bill.

Very simply they could have repaired any issues with Watkins, by sitting him down and telling him they were going to feature him and put him in position to get the Targets & routes that other top receivers get.

That easily would have corrected any locker room issues and then Watkins would have become a McD type of guy.

That's how you coddle your stars.....

But then he is just another bum being paid $16,000,000/yr.

Starting Peterman is indicative of trying to limit turnovers?

Exactly.

We get it. Why doesn't our head coach.

McDermott wanted Peterman on the field last year, and he named him the starter this year.

We have the guy running our offense who won the offseason competition, and the result is the worst offense in modern NFL history.

McDermott is a major problem.

And then the next coaching staff gets to purge a bunch of bad contracts on offensive side. Rinse and repeat.

Exactly.

If there was ever a time to fire a HC now is the time. The defense is fine, so hire a HC who knows offense and keep Leslie Frazer to run the defense and keep that side of the ball as is.

The key is to bring in someone who actually knows something about offense and how to field a team that can score more than 10 points a game.

Yep that is my feeling as well. Get me that offensive mind that interviews with a specific name of QB coach and how to address this offense.

Keep Fraiser and Move on now before this team get saddled with bad contracts that will need to be purged

100%.

Our coach values culture over strategy. He said it himself.

I don't want a guy who thinks that orchestrating the draft that is supposed to fix the offense.

We need a coach who values the Xs and Os, like every other successful NFL coach who has a good offense.

Yes ever notice how most good offenses are never the same week to week and constantly evolving (keeping thier Core mindset intacted). In two years of McD they are still looking for that core mindset let alone week to week evolution

This shouldn't be surprising from a guy who looks more and more like Dick Jauron 2.0.

Run the ball, take care of the football, cater to the weather, and play field position.

That's McDermott's offensive philosophy, and if anything unexpected happens, we're screwed.

The offense cannot overcome negative plays, and if we turn the ball over we get blown out.
