Another Also-ran Speaks Out

John Kerry, you know him he married the ketchup gal, says that Trump clearly doesn't understand America.  This just in, John, in November, 2016 your posse clearly demonstrated that the Democratic Party has  no real clue about what makes America tick.

BOSTON — Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry is docking his family's new $7 million yacht in neighboring Rhode Island, allowing him to avoid paying roughly $500,000 in taxes to the cash-strapped Bay State.

If the "Isabel" were kept at the 2008 Democratic presidential nominee's summer vacation home on Nantucket, or in Boston Harbor near his city residence, he would be liable for $437,500 in one-time sales tax. He would also have to pay $70,000 in annual excise taxes.

And for some stupid ass reason it's Trump that doesn't understand America?

This just in, many American voters agree with John Kerry.  And many American voters hate President Donald Trump.  And many American voters agree with the Deep State*.  If you add the three groups together, November, 2018 might just be a huge disaster for Republicans.

*There is no Deep State.  It's really the Clinton State.  The Deep State was created by incompetent, political narrative challenged Republicans.  And when Republicans wake up on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 they might just regretfully think to themselves "When we created the Deep State we didn't realize that we were validating hatred of President Trump for millions of American voters.  Now all those people who hate President Trump just voted for Democrats.  We should have called it the Clinton State, instead."

Since many Americans hate/hated the most recent two-term POTUS, there's certainly reason to think that many hate the current POTUS.  You can apply that almost universally throughout our history.  On the other hand, John Kerry is so busy moving his yacht around New England to avoid/evade taxes, he may be a bit behind the curve on the hate dynamic.

Politics 101:  The Clintons

The greed and sleaziness of Bill & Hillary Clinton is what gave Republicans control of the US House and US Senate in the mid-term elections of 1994.  The greed and sleaziness of Bill & Hillary Clinton is what gave George Bush II the Presidency in 2000.  The greed and sleaziness of Bill & Hillary Clinton is what gave Donald Trump the Presidency in 2016.

The greed and sleaziness of Bill & Hillary Clinton is good for at least one more election cycle.  Especially given the fact that the greedy and sleazy Clintons tried to steal the 2016 US Presidential election, the most recent election.

Instead of keeping the media spotlight on the greedy and sleazy Clintons, Republicans are allowing the media spotlight to focus on Donald Trump. Instead of creating a 2016 US Presidential election theft attempt by the greedy and sleazy Clintons narrative, the Republicans have instead created a narrative where several FBI and DOJ personnel tried to steal the 2016 US Presidential election.  FBI and DOJ personnel whose names most American voters easily forget.   No one forgets the Clintons.

Republicans are failing Politics 101 The Clintons as it relates to the 2018 US mid-term elections.  And they will pay for it in November.

I agree with you that the Clintons trashed the concept of honesty in government.  I also agree with you about the Trump ignorance dynamic distracting the electorate.  My hope was that Trump would define the end of the continuum  to the point that reasoned heads would prevail; leaders of the two major parties would decide to agree on a center point wherein politics, focused on the good of the people, could exist and might actually thrive.  But, alas, the leaders are too busy bashing each other (deservedly), and appear not to have learned anything from 2016.

Nevertheless, the fly-over states remain resolute in rebuffing the Maxine Waters-Nancy Pelosi-Chuck Schumer cabal.  The Republicans are paralyzed by Trump's actions, the Democrats are fixated on yesterday's tactics, so 11/2018 appears to be a crap shoot.

That was Nixon, actually.

Though if anyone wants to make the argument that Hillary Clinton learned it from her work on Watergate, I'm all for it.
