If anyone ever let him play in the NFL again they are just as nuts. He played 9 seasons in the NFL and has won three Super Bowls. He has two young kids to think about. It's time for him to retire. There is being a warrior and then there is being stupid. Chris Spielman, one of the toughest players of all-time, walked away and gave up the game he loved without a Super Bowl Ring because of a neck injury and then his wife getting breast cancer and to me that doesn't make him any less tough, in fact that was a very admirable thing to do. It's a damn shame things like this happen to the good guys while scum like Carruth, Cecil Collins, and Lawrence Phillips never developed any physical health problems. USMCBillsFan Posted March 16, 2005 Share Posted March 16, 2005 One of my co workers had the EXACT same thing. He had a stoke first and then they discovered a hole in his heart at the hospital. This just happened last summer. He was always a big body builder type weight lifter. He's 40 something and had surgury to repair it. He's back to full strength now lifting as much as ever and running. As a matter of fact, he's in Iraq right now fighting, humping packs and weapons doing great. Bruschi needs to make some decisions...i hope the guy turns out ok, but as someone said, hes got 3 SB rings, and have made some decent bucks in the NFL...why risk your life when you have accomplished what you need to in a career...stay home and watch your kids grow... This is the job for a cardiac specialist. I do hope he makes the right decision for himself and his family. Speaking not as a Bills (and thus anti-Pats) fan, but as a human being....
