One thing i keep hearing is Allen killed it at the whiteboard.  He seems to really understand the game.  Will he be great..no one knows...but i sure hope he will.

He is a smart dude with 37 on the wonderlic, and he's a farm kid who understands hard work. He has a chance!

I’m thrilled.  The Pats are shoring up their line for one more run with the old man - and then we take over the division with the heir to Kelly.

Can’t wait to see those 50 yards spirals cutting through the wind and snow.

I was thinking about this draft and that the whole division could end up with a potential franchise guy. I kind of expected the Dolphins to take a guy to replace Tannehill. I wouldn't want to be the team that didn't take a shot!

Yep.  The fact is no one knows.  Anyone remember how horrible Cam Newton was at the combine?  He looked terrible and hes a franchisr QB

Schopp will tell you the wonderlic is meaningless because Jackson got a 13, and he has a bug up his ass about black QB's being told they are receivers is racism because he adopted two black kids.

One thing I hear about Allen is it seems he is a good test taker.  However, being able to regurgitate and recall stuff for the whitedoard doesn't apply to live bullets flying out on the field.

I'm on board.  Kid who had to kick and fight, scratch and claw, for everything he got. Even on the day when he should have been able to sit back and enjoy the day with his family and friends,  he had to explain things his stupid teenage brain told him to tweet. Wasn't my top choice last night,  but upon learning his backstory, and hearing how he is working through the supposed accuracy flaws,  I'm happy to have him on board. The 80 yard (effortless) throws don't hurt, either.

The wonderlic and yhe whiteboard are two completely different things.  And again since you saw it fit to change your name to rosen not chosen we all know where you stand.

Congrats to the Bills!  You guys got a great player in Josh Allen.  The tough thing now is you won't know just how good he will be for another year or two.   But I think its a great situation for the Bills and Josh Allen.

We need to help him now from the Owner, GM, Coach on down. I think he has a chance if the Bills do the right things with him-not easy!

You mean the Jets take over the division.

How fun would it be, when Brady/Belichick retire, to see the AFC East dominated by a Buffalo/Jets rivalry (hopefully with the Bills having a slight edge like the 90s team over the Fish), while the Pats and Dolphins swim in mediocrity for the next decade or so. One can dream, can't one.

Wonderlic is not information recall. It is information processing and problem solving.

You can still practice for it.  Wonderlic & Whiteboard is test taking in one form or another.

Knock on Allen is he can't process live information fast enough.  You know, like, JP Losman, EJ Manuel & Tyrod Taylor.

Leading up to the draft I hated the thought of drafting Allen ... truth be told I slotted him AFTER Roudolph and even Lauletta ...... My worst nightmare was trading up in round one with Rosen/Mayfield/Darnold still undrafted, and picking Allen.

After we announced our pick (after I stopped crying) I've decided he now wears a Bills uni ... he's a likeable kid ... I trust the process ... The brain trust at One Bills drive chose him and not Rosen (and they know scouting way better than I) ...

Bottom line is he's my guy, I'm all in ... may the best QB win this completion and lead us to the playoffs.

GO BILLS

I'm basically in the same boat. However, I still thought Allen was one of the top 4 and if we couldn't get the other three we should take him.

I was also impressed by his high wonderlic score and that he looked like he was improving in the predraft process.

Also, go watch the Soul and Science video on him. He throws a 74 mph ball and has a release time on par with Tom Brady and other elites. He also had one chance to hit a cross bar at 35 yards away and nailed it first try. If he pans out he has the potential to be elite. I think that is what Beane saw.

He wasn't the safe pick, but he was a swing-for-the-fences pick.

Also, I did have concerns about Rosen's injury history. We'll see if he and Bradford can stay off IR this year.

Why are you throwing such a pity party? You are responding to every comment about 'where you stand' with an Avatar/name featuring Rosen, we get it... Why waste your time responding to all of them? Plus responding to everyone to validate how screwed we are does nothing for anyone. Remember, "being able to regurgitate and recall stuff doesn't apply". I wanted Rosen too, we didn't get him. Now we need to trust that we are NOT professionals working in a front office and if we were then our criticism for alternatives may be warranted. However, we are not. Arizona did not trade next years first rounder or second rounder to move up for Rosen either when they could have... Maybe there was a reason? I don't know.

If we get set back because of our QB, how far back will that be? Honestly? Will we *gasp* not make the playoffs for some ungodly stretch. No way that could happen unless we drafted Rosen. Look, the point is, it could be way worse and Allen (should) be serviceable at worst, at least given his scouting reports (a la physicality/size/etc).

Look, Tyrod took us to the playoffs (albeit w/luck from everywhere) or contested for us to go at least twice and regardless of whether Allen is the same, worse or better we still should be fine. We did not mortgage ANY future picks... We nabbed arguably the 1 or 1a ILB and if we suck with Allen, (which according to many others probably to include yourself) we should have a high enough draft pick to amend our mistake in a couple years. IF you have literally been a Bills fan for over last season you would pull yourself out of your Pit of Sorrow (Dilly Dilly) and get on board. No one likes someone looking for attention.

I've been a Bills fan for a heck of a lot longer than one season, probably longer than many of you have been alive.  It's the same old **** with this team, I'm not giving any more passes or getting on board any Kool-Aid trains.  We'll see where it goes, but it looks bad.
