Utah John Posted December 12, 2017 Share Posted December 12, 2017 Cassel is a good backup QB. That's all he's ever been. He's not starter material on most teams (i.e., any team other than the Pats, where I could play QB and win 3 or 4 games). But he is a guy who can come in and play solid football when he's needed. He's a pro who will be ready with the game plan and will do OK throwing. MM is a much better player but look around the league and every team has a big dropoff from starter to backup.
