Dareus is killing it for the Jags

Haven't read all the way through this thread, but...

Everyone agrees Dareus was valuable in terms of stopping the run.

That doesn't change the fact that he is a one-dimensional player getting about 30--40% of the snaps per week, and it was unwise and unsustainable for the Bills to continue to pay his bloated contracted for those contributions, ESPECIALLY considering that he is one run-in with the law away from a long suspension and doesn't have a work ethic.

Since that one-dimensional player getting about 30-40% of the snaps per week is gone the defense has turned into complete garbage.

And the team he is playing for now has improved dramatically on defense.

Say what you want about Dareus but this is shaping out to probably be the worst trade ever.

I hate the whole "work ethic" bull ****. It might not appear that people work hard, even when they do. Sure that beast took perhaps too much leisure, but he worked his ass off, regardless. He was a "lazy All-Pro" according to Bills' fans.

He rotates in for the Jags the exact same way he did for the Bills, primarily on 1st and 2nd down run plays.

Yeah, and he's played in less than half of the run snaps against crappy offenses and we're supposed to believe he's been dominant and solely responsible for Jaguars' improvement in run defense. It's ridiculous.

Graham's numbers are very interesting.  But why let facts get in the way of opinion?

The question for Bills fans is why Dareus decided he didn't ant to max out his effort while on the Bills.  And spare me the bit about how it's on the coach to get him to play.  He's a professional and had the biggest contract on the team.  Your big contract guys should lead the effort and be the positive example, not the other way around.
