The last administration was actively working on Iran's behalf (really Iran's benefactors' - but for simplicity purposes we'll keep it at the nation-state level). The media, during the last administration, enforced a strict policy of no criticism of 44's Iranian policies (these efforts were supported by 44 abusing the IC to spy on reporters during the run up to the deal). And now we live in a world where major swaths of the media have been wittingly (and some unwittingly) participating in a palace coup of a sitting POTUS to protect 44's legacy. So... kinda both?
