Bills injury update

Roscoe Parrish 2.0

pfft

its usually about a 6 week injury. I know there is IR with designation to return but I think you can only use that once per season, correct? I was thinking that might be used for McKelvin. And then there is PUP and not sure how that factors into the 53.

I might have guessed that Leo was going to get that , considering.

But the Goodwin announcement of broken ribs by Rex made me think M G would garner that award..

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. He can be a big difference maker, certainly more valuable than a kickoff specialist...

He did look good!

Is McK not on PUP right now?

nope.

WRT Goodwin - Unless his ribs are shattered I'd think he'd be ok. We're pretty deep at WR so it's not like we need him to be an every down player, the season doesn't start for a couple of weeks so he has a little time to mend, and you could still put him in for spot duty on fly routes here and there for the first few weeks even with cracked ribs.

I disagree, at least in terms of their respective builds. Goodwin is thicker with a frame that could probably at another 10 lbs. without hurting his speed and quickness. Roscoe was plain skinny with a smaller skeletal build.

Both had bad luck with injuries, so they are similar in that regard.

GO BILLS!!!

I used to joke Parrish wore #11 because any other numbers were too wide, and would wrap around his body.

Did Goodwin have the ball under him when that D lineman jumped on him?

you have had a cracked rib then. no big deal for you ?

if he has broken ribs he will not be playing anytime too soon Rob.

Yep, that's what caused the injury....

dude shoved his knees into his ribs. it was flagrant

I disagree respectfully. It was the knees> i sure hope some one with Rewind or dvr can pull this up. Maybe i was just too pissed when it happened!

It sucked. I wouldn't have wanted to block or go across the middle 2-4 weeks later, but I could have run at top speed in a straight line without too much trouble.

Fitz and Watkins played with broken ribs.

They did. Thats a fact.

But Glass is not asked to just run as fast as he can, which is purty darnd fast. But he has to take the hits.

Marrone abused him. Gailey did not as so much.

If the kid can get healthy enough to play, i want him in there.

And probably many others never reported. That's an injury I'm not volunteering on the report if I can avoid it.

yeah, Watkins never admitted they were broken until after the season. Just said they were bruised. But it was obvious he favored them most of the year.

Sal just said McKelvin is expected back within first month of season (but not game 1)

Not at all surprised at this. He was still on the wheelie tram with his soft cast when TC ended.

How Darby's playing right now is probably reminding folks of Leodis' rookie year.

So Goodwin is probably not a roster lock at this point? Man... he really could have been a good player.

no he never was. He was quick, but rarely made the tough catch and was always a glass jaw.

Do not understand the love affair with him

@MatthewFairburn: Rex Ryan said Stephon Gilmore will probably be ready for Week 1.

@ChrisBrownBills: Rex references 2 cracked ribs for WR Goodwin. Might not be ready for opening week. Feeling good about Gilmore being back. #Bills

@mikerodak: Rex Ryan says it will be "very up in the air" if Goodwin can play Week 1. Two cracked ribs.

That's a very good sign if they are even giving him a chance to be back week one. I was thinking it was at least 4-5 weeks.

Of course, smoke screen detectors are up, as usual. :D
