I'll be purchasing 3 season tickets within the next couple of weeks, and I am debating on where I should get them.

It might sound odd, but never having lived in Buffalo with no ties to the city, I have only been going to games for the last three seasons - basically, the point where I have been able to just go and do whatever the hell I want (I turned 23 last fall). In each of the last three seasons, I have attended 1 game. I have sat all over - in a corner, in the endzone, and along the lower sideline.

My debate here is between the new Rockpile section ($250/seat) or between a 300 level section ($350-400/seat).

Now, obviously, besides the difference in cost, can I get some input from people who have sat in these sections? One thing to keep in mind is that I'll be going up to the games wanting to get the full effect, so I don't mind that people are going to be a bit rowdier in the Rockpile...

My only big negative about the Rockpile is that my back is to the scoreboard, which would kind of suck. I've never really taken the time to notice, but are there additional "mini" scoreboards around the stadium (time, score, etc.)?

they are $250 for a reason...IMO...the worst seats in the house...Tunnel EZ is where I sat for 6 seasons...we have a group of 17 of us that sit 3 rows above the tunnel...nothing but crazy times there...I currently sit in section 316...tunnel corner Upper Deck(visitors side)....the seats are pretty good...3rd row on the aisle...no wait for bathrooms, and plenty of beer vendors...basically I would say...get your tix anywhere but the scoreboard EZ...usually filled with opposing fans, and you cannot see the scoreboard without wrenching your neck...

My advice:

Don't get em.

I had them a few years back, and unless you include the cost of hotel and travel expenses, not to metntion the time involved, it ain't worth it.

Wouldn't be a huge issue here - I'm buying my ticket, a ticket for my dad (as a gift), and an extra in case I want to take someone along. Since I'm buying the ticket for my dad, he'll be kicking in for the hotel (if we need to stay)...actually, when I was up there for the Steelers game, I drove about 30 miles west on I90 and was able to get a 2 bed hotel room for about $45 (tax included).

Also, there will be times when my dad can't make it, so I'll take 2 buddies and we'll make a weekend of going to the game, the casinos, and the Sundowner. <_<

...besides, the way I see it is this: i'm 23, single, making decent money, and my dad isn't getting any younger. I want to do this now, while we both can.

There are mini-scoreboards on the sidelines, you just won't get the replay's like on the jumbotron.

One thing to consider, when bringing a buddy, is tell them not to worry about paying you for the ticket, and ask them to pay for the hotel room, or gas, or parking, etc. That way you won't have as many out-of-pocket expenses each time you come to a game.

buy them ,any where is fun even the upper deck has its good points . i sit in row 10 - 135 . price line .com is good for rooms if you don't care where you stay and how close . it is nothing to spend about $ 300 to 400 hundred on a weekend , tolls ,2 nights stay ,food and parking . plus bringing wine and beer and food to the parking kot . you can do it cheeper . or more if you go to the casino and give them money . <_<

I sat in 332, row 21 (on 35 yard line, Bills side, closer to tunnel end) for the last 2 years. I liked the seats alot. They were right at the cutoff of upper deck - rows 1-20 were more expensive than ours. I could see EVERYTHING. Great view of the scoreboard. Not many opposing fans, if at all - same guys sat in front of us both years, different to the sides, and 2 guys behind were there both years. My buddy took care of buying them, there were 5 of us in the group - and I paid $380 both years I think (not sure on 2004 because I paid him like 3 different times). I'm from Buffalo, going to college in Rochester, and it was a great experience and I'm really glad I did it. I always went to like 1 or so games a year before that, so this was a great time to go out there, tailgate early, hang out with the same people, see Kenny get doused in ketchup, and hope to see a Bills win. For me it was about 2 hours roundtrip, and I usually didn't mind the drive, but it was nice to stay at my parents' house in Tonawanda on the Sat nite before the game.

So I would go with UD, or something comparable in cost - $350-400. Rockpile seats don't seem worth it. I sat in row 10 or so of that endzone once and those seats were terrible. IMO best seats in the house are 50 yd line, 1st row UD. Good luck!

The best seats are sideline lower bowel above the 20th row. Of course those seats are long gone. After that upper deck is your best bet. Frankly I don't think the Rockpile seats are that bad. Certainly worth $250. Of course don't forget the club seats. Not sure how much they are. ($55-$65?) But you have refuge from the elements and your own private restaurant/bar.

No matter how you go, Bills tickets are the best bargain in the NFL. Here in New England, you have to sign over your first born just for a parking space. (Not kidding...Pats now offer VIP parking for $150 a game!!)

Cost of hotel and travel expenses do make it much harder when the Bills lose but I love having season tickets! Besides - the Buffalo ticket is so much cheaper than most other teams and the hotels are very reasonable as well. You can't beat the atmosphere at a home game - it's so much better than watching on TV - definitely worth it.

Get tickets between the 20 yard lines, in the lower bowl if you can. If not, the upper deck is better than the corners.

I had three season tickets for the last 4 years, and have added a 4th next season. I have requested, and been told I will get it, seats in the lower bowl. I did the same thing as you, got three seats, one for my mother (die hard bills fan), one for me, and an extra in case someone else came along. Now, my mom got married (husband also a die hard fan), and I'm getting married in June, so my fiance has been going to the games for the last two years. I am lucky, I am splitting the 4 seats with my mom's husband.

Always amazed me last year when someone here got better seats between the 20 yard lines than I have as a season tix holder. They better move me this year...I have one creepy guy to my right and an !@#$ on the other side of my friend to the left.

Face value last year for Sideline clubs (the red seats) was $57. But you have the seat license also. For one seat last year, the cheapest, with the license, was about $1000. But, you can spread the payment out over 9 months rather than 3.

As a former upper deck season ticket holder, I say upper deck all the way. As a kid, I would always beg my dad to sit down low for a game. He would always say the upper deck is the only seats he would sit in. I would always be angry, but now I share his belief. To be honest, i would love to sit behind the Bills bench on the 50 for one game. My other dream is to be on the field for one game before I die.

Go Upper Deck and Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!!! Doug in Clearwater

I've had season tickets for the past 2 years. First year i sat at the 5 yard line down in the 100's. The second season i moved to the 45 yard line up in the 300's. Personally I liked sitting down lower and being able to yell unpleasant things at Antonio Brown. :( But you get a great view of the entire field siting up higher. I also got to see some lesbo action up in the 300's this season. :(
