Bills offense set to build off Monday

Monday night’s win over the Jets saw Buffalo’s offense operate at perhaps its highest rate of efficiency this season. Now the task is duplicating that effort Sunday in a pivotal AFC game against the Browns.

“You hope to build off it,” said Eric Wood. “It was a challenging week and we came together, the city came together and we hope to ride a little of momentum for sure.”

Mario has raised the bar

It’s not all about his sacks, but the plays made by Mario Williams the last three weeks have been big in every way, shape or form.

Williams has 6.5 sacks in his last three games and leads the team with a dozen this season. Head coach Doug Marrone was taken aback with his dominance on the field Monday night in Detroit.

playing the Browns at home should be a huge advantage as long as the Bills bring the heart and the 12th man brings the roar, this game will not have the emotional impact that the game played in Detroit did , bottom line, D play will be the difference

Dareus on difference between Pettine & Schwartz

Bills DT Marcell Dareus in the midst of a 10-sack season was asked what the difference is between his last two defensive coordinators, Mike Pettine, now the head coach in Cleveland and Jim Schwartz.

“Pettine he likes to mess with the people, Schwartz is more stay with the game plan, mess with your head, but also, ‘I’m on you’ type of D-coordinator,” said Dareus. “He’s just a little different, but they’re both great D-coordinators with good game plans so it’s going to be exciting.”

The Bills and Browns have split their last six meetings together.
