Given such a confession, herasy against the climate change cult, can he either admit his understanding of the science was incorrect or he was lying? And if lying to what end?

Time to reset the parameters for the money grab.  Stick around long enough and the next big thing replaces the last big thing.

The goal was always to deindustrialize the west...

Why?

SE Asia was the accumulator of that industry and cash flow...

That is why we have such ugly dilapidated cities while so many Asian cities have blossomed...

It's not complicated...

China should never have been handed so much leverage against the USA...

And now, the pain of rectifying this sabotage remains before us...

Full speed ahead...

Great stuff!

In a stunning and significant pushback to the “doomsday” climate activist community, Bill Gates, a leading proponent for carbon emissions reductions, published a remarkable essay Tuesday that argued resources must be shifted away from the battle against climate change.

Instead, Gates argues, the world’s philanthropists must increase their investment in other efforts aimed at preventing disease and hunger.

Climate change is not going to wipe out humanity, he argued, and past efforts that strive for achieving zero carbon emissions have made real progress. But Gates said that past investments fighting climate change have been misplaced, and too much good money has been put into expensive and questionable efforts.

Bill Gates Makes Stunning Admission

Here's Gates' full memo,

https://www.gatesnotes.com/home/home-page-topic/reader/three-tough-truths-about-climate

Notably, from Gates,

"To be clear: Climate change is a very important problem. It needs to be solved, along with other problems like malaria and malnutrition. Every tenth of a degree of heating that we prevent is hugely beneficial because a stable climate makes it easier to improve people’s lives."

Gates continues to believe that climate change is real, a serious issue, and one in need of "solving."

I don't think the issue is that Gates doesn't believe in climate change any longer, he clearly does.  I also don't think the issue is that Gates doesn't think action is needed.  I think that Gates' is suggesting that resources need to be allocated differently going forward toward mitigating climate change risk to human populations.  I think it is a question of climate change priorities.  If there is going to be a debate with Gates, it is not a debate over climate change as a hoax or climate change as real.  The debate with Gates is, how best to manage resources going forward on the basis that climate change is real.

893 Companies Have Withdrawn From the Global Climate Initiative

Nearly 900 companies – including several large international corporations – have withdrawn from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). This initiative requires members to set scientifically validated climate targets in order to align their emissions goals with international standards. However, more and more companies are questioning the feasibility of these requirements. The withdrawal affects approximately seven percent of all participating companies.

Many decision-makers do not see this as a lack of responsibility, but rather as a return to economic rationality. Political climate policies that ignore technical and financial limitations jeopardize long-term economic viability and weaken the competitiveness of entire industries.

Corporate withdrawal as a signal to policymakers

In Switzerland, approximately 280 companies are currently registered with the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative), but twelve have ended their commitments. While some continue to work towards their climate goals, others are prioritizing operational stability and profitability. Excessive regulations often lead to higher costs, stagnant investments, and declining competitiveness. The withdrawal is therefore seen as a strategic decision – a move away from symbolic politics and towards market-oriented action.

The important thing Gates said was regarding the EXPENSIVE AND QUESTIONABLE efforts. In other words, is it worth the "money?"

It is not. Because even if they achieved the goals that they STATED, the shift would be statistically insignificant. And they're not close to achieving those statistically insignificant goals anyway. It's a Leftist Scam.

No offense (I get where you're coming from), but it is so nuts that we're used to that phrasing: "climate change is real."

Of course it's real! The global climate has changed, and from what we can tell, continues to change.

The question is how much of that is caused by human activity.

So Gates is now saying that it is not an immediate existential crisis, but it is still very worrying and must be addressed.

I have no problem with that.

THE CHURCH OF CLIMATE LOSES ITS PULPIT AT CBS:

Cutting the “climate desk” wasn’t censorship — it was a long-overdue correction to years of sanctimony.

The great tragedy of our time, at least to those who dwell in the climate-alarmist press, is not hurricanes, floods, or famine—but a network trimming its propaganda department. When CBS News laid off most of its “climate crisis” staff, the media class responded as though free speech itself had been outlawed. According to Truthout, “CBS News has fired most of its climate crisis production staff” and, in the process, “gutted” its sacred climate desk. The story was dressed up as an obituary for truth itself, complete with talk of “bloodbaths” and “new conservative management”.

To anyone outside the activist echo chamber, it looked like a normal corporate reshuffling. CBS’s parent company had merged with Skydance, and the incoming leadership did what executives always do after mergers—trim redundancies, change direction, and try to make the business profitable again. But to those who had mistaken climate coverage for a holy mission, this was blasphemy.
