What is better, no guns, or more guns?

If liberals want to stop mass shootings then they must do what all the conservative areas do, it is amazing that so many things that liberals whine about are mainly centralized in liberal areas. Conservatives complain about things that are centralized in liberal areas also.

No we don't.

We average two large scale gang/drug shootings a day in he USA

So many guns lead to people shooting each other. Massacres everyday

You seem to dehumanize people by saying gangs, drugs, blah blah.

and your goal is to ban assault rifles?  make it harder for legal citizens to defend themselves?

There is this old fashion thing called law and order.  its making a comeback.

Gangsters have 2nd Amendment rights too

By our current laws and depending on your definition of "gangster," no they don't.

If you want to try to take the 2nd Amendment absolutist line to its natural end, you probably should brush up a little on history. The Bill of Rights did not protect "all Americans" as we understand that phrase today.

So many guns out there that young people in many communities only feel safe with a gun, and when something stupid happens, as happens with young people, they go for their guns. We have recreated the wild west

Those are interpretations. Those are not the US Constitution. Can't believe I have to say that to another, I'm assuming, educated?, American

Question: what happened in the "wild west" that turned it less wild?

Answer: the state shooting, hanging, or locking up the people making it wild.

Interesting. Maybe we could try that.

We lock up more people than anyone. Drain the swamp of guns and we won't have two mass shootings a day

Stop the arms race on the street

The west still had all the guns when it turned tame. This "America incarcerates too much" nonsense has been laughed out of the room. Every day criminals are released back onto the street without so much as an arrest processing.

As I've posted before, the solutions *that don't involve gun confiscation* to this are laughably simple.

Come on. the answer is to sue the gun companies, ammo companies and car companies.

It's just way too easy for anyone to get guns. Locking up people isn't the answer. The guns will still flood the local communities.

Drain the swamp of guns.

Drain the swamp of guns.

If everyone in the local community is high-trust, a reasonable IQ, and not inclined toward crime, will the guns just walk around and kill people on their own?
