I hinted at that myself in the other thread trying not to give anything away. correct me if I'm wrong, The Red Wedding.. Rob's wife was in Riverrun because she was pregnant Shae... was not sent off as she was with Tywin after the prison break. - In the books Tyrion tried to marry her off to keep her in Kings Landing the pigs in question The dwarf wedding performance in the show consisted of a reenactment of the War of Five Kings In the books two dwarfs riding a pig and dog joust to the hilarity of almost all the wedding guests. I was thinking about it last night and it sounds like Tyrion might flee to Pentos with Shae now instead if the dwarf girl. That should be an interesting shift in the storyline now because of what happens with Tywin and Shae in the books. That whole scenario should happen within the next two episodes too... That should be an interesting shift in the storyline now because of what happens with Tywin and Shae in the books. That whole scenario should happen within the next two episodes too... I don't generally watch the show until the seasons come out, so I'm not entirely sure what the differences are yet, but I hope that doesn't happen. I think Tyrion's reaction to Shae was an important part of his psyche during his escape and trip. With Shae there, it just doesn't really make sense. THE UNCLE ESCAPED oops to where I don't remember. the wife and baby remained in Riverrun as far as I recall. the littlefinger comes in to "save" Sansa after the drunk knight gets offed rescuing her. But we know he's not really there, at least at the time of the wedding, since he's on a boat at King's Landing waiting for the fool to bring Sansa to him. There is nothing in the TV series that seems inconsistent with this. He'll probably show up in the next episode. The one interesting thing about Shae in the TV series is that, at the pre-wedding lunch, Tywin tells Cersei to "have her brought to the Tower of the Hand before the wedding". That makes me think he will somehow interfere with her leaving King's Landing, and bring the storyline back to where it should be in the books. If Tyrion thinks she's gone from King's Landing, and then sees her in Tywin's quarters during the prison escape, that would make for a powerful scene. Another interesting change from the books -- Sansa is given a necklace by the fool instead of a hair net, but it seems it still played a role in Joffrey's death. In the scene in the TV show where Lady Olenna walks up to Sansa at the wedding feast, they show her fondle Sansa's necklace, removing one of the jewels. You can see the necklace with the missing jewel multiple times after that. But they don't show how it gets into Joffrey's cup. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yeah, I think that's probably the only way in the TV show they could justify that kind of response. But it would work! Yeah, I think they did it that way in the TV show just to speed things along. But in the books, he meets with her many times, probably as a way of earning her trust.
