Jerry Jabber
I haven't heard anything lately (besides how bad the defense sucks!) Any news on Levitre's & Byrd's contract negotiations? Thanks!

Captain Hindsight
I think the FO is doing this to give a big middle finger to fans but it could just be gas
BuffaloBaumer
They cannot let this line go backwards. If Byrd hits FA, you tag Levitre
ajzepp
Levitre is the priority for sure.
DaGimp
they shouldn't rush to sign anybody on that loser squad. Just look at the big contracts they hand out that look ridiculous now!

Dr. Trooth
Levitre is a must In reality, Byrd is a really good nickle safety. Bills desparately need a physical presence at safety. If Byrd is as good as they can do, the bills are in trouble. Levitre is a must In reality, Byrd is a really good nickle safety. Bills desparately need a physical presence at safety. NoSaint
To back up Ed Reed? dear lord, how long do you think the man plays for? with RL likely done, look for a transition sooner rather than later.
Stealth
In typical Bills fashion they'll let good players they drafted go and use draft picks to replace them, instead of keeping players and using draft picks to build other areas. It's in My Blood
To back up Ed Reed? He was pondering retirement this past offseason.

STATUS QUO Why do you believe that with free agency many months away, And both players under contract until then? Is it because extending Fitz early has worked out so well? thebandit27
Why do you believe that with free agency many months away, And both players under contract until then? Is it because extending Fitz early has worked out so well? It's obviously because Nix and Whaley have let every important free agent walk recently. I mean, they did it with Stevie Johnson, Fred Jackson, Erik Pears, Kyle Williams, Fitz, Scott Chandler, George Wilson...oh wait... Well, they did let the Eagles take a 3rd string LT...hah! I knew there was something...
Dragonborn10
Maybe they rested Levitre this week so his wrist was in good shape to sign the extension???
Stealth
Why do you believe that with free agency many months away, And both players under contract until then? Is it because extending Fitz early has worked out so well? Because that's been the Bills modus operandii for years. See Winfield,Clements, Pat Williams, Henry,Mcghaee,Lynch, Donte Whitner, Price. Jabari Greer, Poz. Jason Peters, Bell Not to mention the free agents we've brought in who still had productive years left who we never attempted to re-sign Fletcher, Sam Adams, Ted Washington etc etc. Instead of keeping some of the players we should've kept and strengthining other areas of the team. We let them go and reach to fill holes. How long have we've been suffering from the Loss of Pat Williams for. Our corners are still subpar. Donte Whitner only starts for one of the best defenses in the league. How much better would the Bills as a team have been if we kept some of these guys and used draft picks to improve other spots such as you know quarterback? I'm not saying we should've kept all of them but 2-3 of those players and picks used to upgrade elsewhere we're probably not discussing yet another year of no playoffs.
