James Hardy??

Did anyone ever pick him up?? I don't recall hearing that anyone did??

Also on another topic, having an office debate the other day.

In the Monday night game about three years ago where the Bill's blew the lead ladte. I recall there was an interception (or maybe two)

Was there also a fumble on a return? Was McKelvin invloved? I didn't even think he was on the team yet at that time, but can't recall for certain.

Hardy reminds me of Mike Sherrard without the good first season.

He is currently a free agent. He'll get another shot with another team, at some point.

We completed a 20+ yard pass to Robert Royal?

And he didn't fumble it!

What I noticed was right after the Royal completion with 1:33 left at the Cleveland 34 old Dicky runs the ball 3 times for a whopping 5 yards and settles for the 47 yard FG. That describes his entire tenure as coach of the Bills, almost, but not exactly.

I thought the OP was talking about the MNF loss the the Cowboys where Romo threw 5 interceptions and Trent Threw a pick with a few minutes to go, and Dallas scored 9 points in the final 20 seconds to win 25 to 24. The lesson here is that when you refer to an embarrassing MNF loss, with regards to the BILLS, you have to be specific. Btw there were no BILLS' fumbles in thst game.

LMAO!

Ha ha ha . Wait, were you serious ?

Of course. He's 24 years old. 6'6" with good quickness and so-so speed. He will be invited to some teams camp so they can evaluate if he has anything. I'm not suggesting he will certainly be a star, or even make a roster. But I'm fairly certain he will get a shot with another team.

Well, right now James is kicked back in his hot tub with Daniella and Laticia on either side of him. Ear to ear grin on his face with a martini in hand. Gettin ready to watch some College football on his 72 inch flat screen, as soon as they shoot a game of pool of course. He thinking to himself "man am I glad I dont have to work another day in my life if I dont want to" and "time to roll me another fatty"

As a second round pick? I rather doubt it.

Yes that was my question, so no fumble in that game. I did recall the Int, but hen wasn't sure if there was fumble on next kickoff. Seemed it happened in s many games, had to keep track of which one was which. Thanks for clarifying!

Hmn, how much money does a second round pick get? Lets say a measely million. 50 grand a year for 20 years =1 million. I know plenty of folks who work there butts off and dont make 50k a year. Im sure he got more than a million(not sure the exact numbers) Plus he has the rest of his life to figure out how to make even more money. If you gave me what he earned in Buffalo I know I would be set for life.

I couldnt find Hardys contract numbers. On July 24 2008, Eddie Royal was signed to a 4 year deal worth 3.9 million with 2.25 guaranteed. Royal was the WR taken after Hardy in the 08 draft. James was waiting on that signing to help set the numbers for his contract, which was probably very close if not slightly higher than royals. So he walked away from the Bills with a couple million. Not to shabby. I doubt he will be scooping ice cream or washimg dishes anytime soon.

Dude!!! Week 1 Monday Night Football. Bills Have the lead against the Gatriots a few minutes left in the 4th QTR, McKelvin catches the ball 4 yards deep in the end zone, and for some stupid reason he pulls it out!

The Patriots basically catch McKelvin mid stride, hold him up in the air, and have some other player come in and strip the ball.

Patriots recover, and end up winning the game.

How can you forget!!!!

:bag:

You can actually still watch the low light here:

Play by Play:

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2009091400/2009/REG1/bills@patriots/analyze#analyze:analyze/analyze-channels:cat-post-playbyplay

Buffalo Bills at 02:06

3-S.Gostkowski kicks 72 yards from NE 30 to BUF -2. 28-L.McKelvin to BUF 31 for 33 yards (58-P.Woods). FUMBLES (58-P.Woods), RECOVERED by NE-3-S.Gostkowski at BUF 31. 3-S.Gostkowski to BUF 31 for no gain (21-J.Wendling).

If McKelvin just takes a knee in the end zone the Bills losing streak to the Patriots ends.

It hurt just watching that replay.. ugh!!

He will probably get another shot with somebody.

Like a Tim Couch shot? A Losman shot?

$50K before taxes will make it a bit difficult to pay the monthly nut on that house, pool, big TV and the upkeep on those two ladies.

So $2.5 million. With federal, state and local taxes, he starts with maybe $1.3-1.4 mil in the bank. He's not being paid over 20 years.

Yeah, he seemed like a mature, intelligent young man. No doubt that money was wisely invested and he is set for the next 41 years until he can receive Social Security.

My guess is that he's got less than $500K left. He'll be a greeter at a casino within 10 years.

WEO, I often disagree with you, but you totally nailed this one. Well done!

It looks like he got a little over $2M. Like you said, after you deduct taxes, paying the agent, etc., we're talking a million and change. Now, a million doesn't go as far as it used to. The big house, pool service, boob jobs for the porn stars, and drugs and alcohol don't all come free.
