Are the Bills getting a swagger

Recommended Posts

OMG, you're kidding, right? This team is bad! Stinky bad. They look as bad if not worse than any Dick Jauron team. Give it up already. Be hopeful, but not blinded and stupid. Who are we going to beat?

Let me give you a story about a team that has been bad for over 10 yrs. It's called the Buffalo Bills. They suck. Get ready for another year of being out of the mix by week 10 at the latest. There is nothing good about this team, except our RBs. How many SBs have we won? ZERO! Think a few good RBs and a new coach and GM are going to get it done? This team does NOT have searing focus, fundamentals, swagger, team unity or proper coaching. CG has no sustained winning track record in either the NFL or NCAA. Do you really think he's any good? No one of any real talent wants to play, coach, or GM here. Let's hope for success, but let's not be stupid about it. This is not a good team and there will be no playoffs AGAIN this year.

Bye bye Troll. Crapola did i just feed u? sorry.

Oh we made plenty of mistakes in the first several games. Too many to mention. Just like the Bills. But the players learned and progressed with the proper leadership. You're so right Promo, coaching is more important than most people think. Talent is great, but it's the right coach that gets all those pieces playing together into the most efficient machine possible.

So true...football is a game of strategy.....and the coaching has got to be on point to make all of the pieces come together as one.

Its sad that there is still a few bad apples around dont you think? He totally missed allof our points. We have a team thats improving....nothing more.

Billsfan I luv the potential we have. We seem to have a solid base now with Nix and Gailey. IMO solid drafting and focus. It'll take time as it does with anything worthwhile. It's only up from here. The speed at which it happens is yet to be determined.

I've seen scrub physical talent work miracles. I can't doubt what we have with the proper leadership.

I think what we lack in overall talent, we'll make up with our physical and mental toughness. I look at teams like Houston and think how good they could if they only had a half way decent coach. The Texans have so much talent, but lack discipline- the fault of their coach- Gary Kubiac. Houston is a team that plays to the level of their opponents; but put a guy like Chan in Houston and they'd be playoff bound!

I admit that I wasn't on board with Chan in the beginning- but that was then. It's so nice to finally think that we'll have a tough, disciplined team!

Get ready for week 1- 'Fins your going to get a beat down!

yeah!

I'm going to give your little rant some attention. Here are seven games you are not willing to list as a maybe? I guess that is expecting every team to be just like last year because there are no ups and downs in the NFL. But I think these seven "no"s without any of them being maybes represent a big lack of understanding of how football works.

But for the record, you think the BEST case for this team is what was considered a disappointment under Jauron, that somehow we have gotten worse in that time. And for the record we have failed to win six games exactly twice in this miserable decade while winning at least 6 games in eight of those painful ten years.

So you go and figure out who you want to pick with your top 5 pick next year, and the rest of us will actually watch the football games and the progress of this team. So call it like you see it, but don't call out someone with 8-8 optimism as "kidding", "blind", or "stupid".

I think this year is very unpredictable and that 2011 will be the season where we can _expect_ to see solid results. But a lot of good things can happen as well if the ball bounces our way and injuries work in our favor or players grasp the new systems faster than you think.

I guess you haven't seen any of the preseason games then because the product on the field has been better and more encouraging for fans to watch then all of last year (except for the first 90% of game1 vs the pats). I think we are all gonna be pleasantly surprised this year. Playoffs? Nope. Winning record? Maybe. Next year? Big things.

In today's press conference, Gailey said the WRs were actually playing worse rather than better. When was the last time you heard a coach say that? What he meant was they were making more mental errors, not that they sucked. Gailey is not going to let anyone get away doing a half-assed job. That alone will make us a better team.

I believe in all sports the team takes on its identity of the coach. And it appears the Bills are doing just that. From the players being mentally and physically tougher and the comraderie we are beginning to see, one has to believe our beloved Bills are on the right track. When was the last time we saw our HC stick up for his players the way Chan has? Its been awhile to say the least. I wont point to specifics as they have already been discussed. Now we may not win more than 8 games this year due to some areas of weakness in talent, but I think next year will be the real turning point. So sit back everyone and enjoy the ride...I think it will be interesting and exciting again. Does everyone feel we are on the path to success?

Swagger?

Lets win a few games. Lets come from behind and win one on the last drive. Lets kick the crap out of someone and dominate a few games. Lets beat the teams in our division. Lets make "The Ralph" a place teams do not want to play in.

Then we can start to talk about swagger.

For what it's worth here is my take on the Bills. I have no problem with people here being optimistic about the Bills future. I have a difficult time understanding much of the optimism here but you are entitled to your opinion.

I have been scared" with 10 years of poor decision making by the Bills Front Office. From the GM changes, coaching changes, player personnel changes, etc...This has left me with a "sour" taste in my mouth. After several changes, I can recall myself and fellow Bills fans speaking with a sense of excitement and optimism. I don't think it is necessary to repeat them again. I think you all know what am talking about. With that said, I cannot find it in myself to believe anything will be different this time around. The optimistic comments today are pretty much the same things that have been said previously. I need to see more talent on this team. I need to see results. I need to see wins! All I have seen is two preseason games and lots of training reports from fans. IMHO, it is way way way too early to jump on the Gaily/Nix bandwagon. For now, I have low expectations going into this season. I will wait cautiously and silently on the sidelines and hope for positive change. I am not about to pretend or convince myself all is fine in Bills land. Fair or not, this regime has to prove its merit in order for me to jump onto that bandwagon. They will soon have their chance...

Signed, one frustrated and scared Bills fan.

I think the wins you listed are right, but I also think we at least win one division game, if not two and win one of the Chicago, Cincinnatti, and Baltimore games. I'm guessing 6-10 this year.

Chan also said he is "excited" about what Parrish is going to bring to the offense. That will ruffle some feathers around here -- you know, the crowd who "know" Roscoe can't cut it as a WR simply because the knuckleheads who have been designing game plans for the past four years have had their heads up their butts.

Just get Rosc some Space!

I can argue that point...I wanna see positive results too...I am just saying their is some reason to believe the team is heading in the right direction and gaining a little edge.
