Sure, sure, whatever. I don't even remotely care about the difference. The fact is that Muslims in the Middle East hate us first and foremost because we support Israel. I'm not saying we shouldn't support Israel, but there's no need to ignore it or make irrelevant statements about the difference between Arabs and Pakistanis.

I can't speak to the motives of Indonesians, but they're not exactly coming over here to blow up our nightclubs in the States. Perhaps they don't like Westerners bringing corruption to their country. If we left them alone, they would likely leave us alone as well.

Catalyst for US Hatred Pre-9/11.

The 1995 Plane Bombing Plot; Three Baluch: Yousef, Murad, & Mohammed

After the Trade Center bombing, Yousef reappeared in the Philippines in September 1994, plotting to bomb a dozen U.S. airplanes. In January 1995, while mixing explosives in the kitchen sink of his Manila apartment, Yousef started a fire and had to flee. He left behind a computer with information that led to his arrest a month later in Islamabad.

A co-conspirator, Abdul Hakam Murad, was arrested in Manila the night of the fire. Like Yousef, Murad was tried and convicted for that plot. Murad is supposed to be a childhood friend of Yousef, and he is also supposed to be born and raised in Kuwait.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed was also involved in this plot. Mohammed managed to flee the Philippines and was subsequently indicted, even as he went on to become head of al Qaeda's military committee after Sudan, under U.S. pressure, expelled Usama bin Ladin to Afghanistan in 1996.

Notably, Yousef, Murad, and Mohammed did not behave like Islamic militants while in the Philippines. As the Los Angeles Times reported, "In Manila, the trio acted like anything but Islamic terrorists. All had local girlfriends. They hung out at karaoke bars and strip clubs."

Catalyst for US Hatred Post-9/11. Same as it ever was.

In 2002 the United States disrupted a plot to use shoe bombs to hijack a commercial airliner to attack the tallest building in Los Angeles. The plot was "set in motion" by Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the September 11 attacks.

"Rather than use Arab hijackers, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed sought out young men from Southeast Asia whom he believed would not arouse as much suspicion," Bush said.

And that's because KSM believed that the US would profile Arabs at our airports!

................................................ At the end of the day, the U.S. government acting like Gladdys Kravitz all over the globe is one of the largest root causes of this crap.

Now that is a view from based upon logic and intelligence.
