I'd try & deal next year's #1. After Okung, who in my opinion is a notch below Jake Long and Joe Thomas anyway, I see a bunch of physical specimens with character or motivational flaws......or I see guys who have great work ethic, but lack the necessary ability to be dominant at the NFL level. Good young tackles, whether they play the right side or left, are not usually offered on the trade market. When Gaither was at the Univ. of Maryland he was replaced by a less talented player. The HC said that he would rather play a lesser player who worked hard than play a more talented player who was less diligent in his work habits. Gaither then decided to leave school and was available in the supplemental draft. In college, Gaither was considered a very talented player who didn't play up to his immense potential because of his immaturity. If Gaither is available for a trade it is because there is an issue with him. The Bills need to keep their own high draft picks and draft their own players. A first rounder for an OT who no longer is viewed is an important to their core of players is probably not wise to surrender a high pick.
