I can actually see Fred traded as well, and buffalo deciding to go younger and grab Trent Richardson, but Freds value (as a rb) usually doesnt bring back high value.

Depending on whats available during drafting at 10, the Bills should take a look at Decastro and Reiff (for RG and RT) to provide more talent for the offensive line. These moves would certianly bring in more depth this line clearly needs. Unfortunaltey, as members have written, Kahlil is the safest OLT to draft in the first round and most likely will not there at 10.

According to espn sources he wants a new contract, most likely he will not be granted one during the season as the article on espn.com said they are already thin at the postion. Linebacker Lance Briggs has made a formal request that he be able to seek a trade from the Chicago Bears after the team would not give him a raise. "The Bears were justified to ask Lance Briggs to honor his contract, and the linebacker doesn't have much leverage. "The Bears made their decision, now I have to make mine," Briggs told the Chicago Tribune Thursday. "It's just how the business works. It's not going to take away from what I do on the field. I'm 100 percent a Bear, until I'm not a Bear anymore." Agent Drew Rosenhaus sent an email to Bears contract negotiator Cliff Stein requesting the trade, the newspaper reported. If AJ Green is the best player at 3 that would still be a good pick for this team, fill a need, provided they dont pass up a defensive stuff. However it would provide another weapon for an offense that still lacks playmakers, making opposing defensive coordinators have to game plan for AJ, Lee and Stevie with our running game would help the offense score more. With that opinion said, Lee Evans is clearly not a #1 neither is Stevie, AJ would fit the bill. Lets not forget free agency comes first, so if the team can sign a few players at key positions of need and re-sign their own ufa's they feel should be part of their long term plans then that will help them going into their draft plans and draft the best player despite position..

Agreed, it IS time to see what Brian Brohm can do, give him the rest of the season. If he plays well maybe the Bills won't have to burn a high draft pick for a qb. Everyone knows what Fitz can do AS A backup. The organization is already recognizing who is staying/going for the future, if he cant play well by the end of the yr and he doesnt improve week to week, then I see no reason to keep him beyond this year. Actually The new regime inherited this mess. This is part of their rebuliding mode, granted we all would have been happier to get at least a third round pick for Lynch. But it is better to get 2 picks for a former pro bowler, malcontent bone head than get none at all, who can leave the following year. As for this past draft. I believe CJ Spiller was their guy they took off the board as the best player available, I have heard they wanted Trent Williams or Russel Okung but they were taken ahead of the Bills. Each regime makes their own stamp with their own vision. I don't believe their are done wheeling and dealing.

I completely understand, but seeing as we are playing for money, I had to draft for talent and need over how it's going to make me feel on game day. Believe me, if we are playing the Jets and Shonn Greene scores, I am not happy at all, but at the end of the day I am at least getting something back for it. Actually in imho there shouldnt be a reason not to take any of the guys from rivals, that was mentioned above. I'm okay with the guys I picked for my team, i hope they score, but I just hope the team ends up losing when they play the Bills..

This draft is now over, Next year The Bills will probably have a high pick my guess is they go 4-12 (hopefully not though). So with that being said at this point it should be imparitive they they select an elite LT, QB (Jake Locker), followed by drafting the best receiver to go with Lee on the other side no matter what it takes. those 3 need to be addressed. Unfortunatley they only have one pick, but could have two with trades either for picks or players. So anything is possible, but then again it is a big financial investment the FO may not want to invest in? If they make trades to trade down great, if not then trade back up and get those 3 positions solidified no matter what unless the quality of the talent isnt there. Followed by solid OL choices/ LB. thats all unless something happens in an area of need that comes unexpectedly. Let the debates begin now.

I agree with your thoughts. A first rounder for an OT who no longer is viewed is an important to their core of players is probably not wise to surrender a high pick. Save your picks and draft your own guys, or use them to trade back or up in the draft.
