Evidently, some fans are forgetting that Anderson was dreadful in that 6-3 slugfest last October:

2-17 15 yards and a pick. Anything more than a player to be named later is too much.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he's still better than what we have ... Sad But True

He's a very inaccurate passer. Even in his pro bowl season, he threw 19 interceptions and completed only 56.5% of his passes. The Browns really bungled their quarterback situation last year. They had drafted Quinn to be his replacement, and probably could've gotten a 2nd or 3rd rounder for Anderson before his dreadful 2009 performance.

Didn't know that, but still better then what we have at the end of the day.

sarcasm?

Funny how Bills fans will get excited on just about any news that could mean that our JV players might be replaced with more JV players.

Did Anderson show anything last year that would make anyone think he is better than what we currently have?

...released means his is no longer part of the Browns, but we could still give them Donte if you want.

Throw in McCargo too.

Think that was kind of his point ...

Here is what I would love about the idea of DA coming here:

1. He allows us to focus on holes at OL and defensive front 7 in this draft.

2. He at least played at a high level at some point in his career.

3. He hasnt been good enough to just hand him the job, he will have to earn it.

4. Gives us a chance to see if he or Brohm can be our guy before we waste a high pick on a QB with a huge salary. Both still have potential and upside (Brohm has more to me).

5. Its an easy transition away from Trent, because even though DA has had more downs than ups, Trent has never had any ups and just looks shot at this point.

6. Even if he struggles, he is still a better stop gap than Trent or Fitzy while they groom Brohm.

DA may not be the answer, but he at least has more upside than Trent and could be a good guy to bring in to battle with Brohm for the starting gig.

I agree...fix the line first, then worry about QB. Why beat up another QB like TE with a sub-standard line?
