  1. If any of you have a interest in the space program I highly recommend CNN's mini series about the Shuttle Columbia disaster. Its really interesting how a lot of the engineers had a concern about the vehicles left wing but basically got told to shut up by the powers to be.
  2. Literally everyday 24/7 it's bash Trump Just now CNN is saying that they have sources that say Trump said "all Haitian immigrants have AIDS"... Lol they are literally making up stuff now. U can tell they are in panic mode after the legislation repubs just passed
  3. Thought this was pretty cool. https://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2023/12/04/star-forming-planet-orig-contd-nn.cnn I guess he's branched out some since these days:
  4. Couldn't find much on this story here and this could easily fit in the American media isnt to be trusted thread, but honestly remembering Stelter's time at CNN deserves its own thread. Tucker has two after all.
  5. Looks like no one is buying their garbage any more. https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/television/2022/04/21/cnn--set-to-shut-down-after-just-a-month
  6. Warner Bros. Discovery tasked former “Late Show” producer Chris Licht to steer a news-first pivot at CNN. “U.S. news is largely populated by ‘advocacy networks’ that ‘make a lot of money by generating and supporting an audience, but CNN is in the journalism business and will be ‘journalism first,” said Licht’s boss, Discovery CEO David Zaslav, in April. Not-so-subtle translation: Licht’s job is to undo the left-wing bias that had come to define modern CNN. Licht began his mission by firing Brian Stelter, Jeffrey Toobin, Chris Cillizza, and John Harwood. He followed those dismissals by demoting lying hack Don Lemon from a solo primetime program to a low-rated morning show which he shares with two co-hosts. Naturally, this change of direction has turned Licht into a target of the Left. The crowded coalition cannot believe a prominent member of the clique would abandon its loyalties to the progressive movement. Elsewhere, MSNBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post have doubled down on hard Left rhetoric this past year. “The uninformed vitriol, especially from the left, has been stunning,” Licht told The New York Times on Sunday. “Which proves my point: so much of what passes for news is name-calling, half-truths, and desperation.” https://www.outkick.com/cnn-ceo-chris-licht-stunned-by-uninformed-left-wing-vitriol/ It’s how fascists, fascist.
  7. While some players say they regret their time in the NFL because of the consequences, Ex-Bill Coy Wire says even given his injuries, "I would also never trade the time that I spent on the gridiron." This is an interesting article that goes into the history of safety in the NFL (I didn't know 19 people died from football injuries in 1905) and spends some time discussing how Hamlin's injury - and Sean McDermott's response - changed the NFL's attitude toward serious injuries. Coy Wire article at CNN
  8. Do I believe white privilege exists in some instances, yes. But it has become a term that SJW's throw out when a white person makes legitimate points that SJW's can't deny in an attempt to discredit that white person all together, therefore you don't have to listen to what they have to say. If you are white and have an opinion that is counter to the liberal social justice movement, no matter how legitimate your points, you shouldn't be taken seriously because of white privilege. Also these white people can expect to be labeled as a racist, nazi, homophobe, and just about any other of the most negative things you can label someone in our society simply for not falling in line with the social justice movement. Yesterday a CNN contributor Areva Martin, was on a radio show with a black host David Webb who she did not know was black. As soon as he started saying things that she disagreed with, instead of bringing up legit counter arguments, she went with the "white privilege" card. Just goes to show how full of ***** so many of these SJW's and news contributors are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAlig2jW7SA&t=1s

  10. Anyone watching? I always find it interesting to see first hand then see how the media spins what actually occurred. Man he is hard to listen to So far decent position on Ukraine (it needs to stop) let’s not talk about who needs to win or war criminals get the war stopped… he will stop it in 24 hours 😂 Lots of wall and I’m sure they loved the “ breaking up families prevents them from coming” 😂 They don’t even speak English in that China town 😂 he is more satirical than Baldwin tonight.. 😂 Is it intentional that he is standing and arguing with the moderator in this town hall??? “you are a nasty person”
  11. Former President Donald Trump’s appearance on CNN tonight was already going to be a blockbuster — a primetime TV appearance in front of a live audience on a network he regularly lambasts. But with a Manhattan federal jury finding him liable in the sexual abuse of writer E. Jean Carroll, the stakes for the GOP frontrunner were instantly raised, virtually ensuring he will be pressed on issue by a network that has historically had an adversarial relationship with the former president. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/05/10/trump-world-cnn-carroll-verdict-00096099
  12. Was watching Wolf Blitzer interview Andrew Yang (former Democratic Presidential candidate, and now running for New York City mayor) on CNN. At the end of the interview, Andrew Yang shouted "Go Bills". Wolf Blitzer said "Yes, go Bills! Only 2 more games to go - hopefully!" 😄
  13. Curious to have some of the economists discuss this story and give their thoughts. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/11/08/att-cfo-says-timing-of-time-warner-deal-closing-now-uncertain-dj.html

  16. I'm not sure how many of you out there follow CNNSI for some of your sports news, but I tried to access their webpage today and was directed to a link for Bleacher Report. Evidently, Bleacher Report is "on a mission to revolutionize the way fans learn, think, and talk about their favorite teams." The complete "transfer of power" is scheduled to happen sometime in February. Many folks on here have been critical of Bleacher Report due to the perceived sub-par sports coverage. In fact, many posters who provide links to Bleacher Report stories are often chided for doing so. For those of you who know more than me about Bleacher Report are they really changing the way they do business, or is this a very ill advised move by CNN? Here is the link.... http://www.cnn.com/c...ts-is-changing/ Thoughts?
  17. Talked about how he's spending his own money and actively investigating the "coordinated conspiracy to discredit his character" during the GOP primary. Says he won't say more b/c he doesn't want to jeopardize the ability to pursue this in the future since he doesn't have the rock solid proof yet, but he says he's got an idea and is spending money and investigating it now and is not letting it go b/c his "character and reputation are much more than dollars." I don't know why I thought it was interesting...I guess I just figured it's politics plain and simple and someone wanted him taken down could have been any number of other GOP candidates....so it seemed odd that he would say these things as if it was somehow special what happened to him given that he just fell under attack and it happens to everybody.

  21. The CNN/SI piece is written by Doug Farrar whose work I associate with Yahoo's "Shutdown Corner" column. Not sure if he's changed jobs but he's a pretty knowledgeable writer. Enjoy. http://nfl.si.com/20...ction=si_latest On Monday, Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage said on ESPN that when he put together the rosters for the all-star event, he received alerts from several schools that Manuel was not one of the top six senior quarterbacks in the country, and he should be passed over. Also Jarrett Bell of USA Today wrote a piece on EJ for Monday's edition. He confirms the reports that EJ's radio helmet went dead on the two-minute drill: http://www.usatoday....manuel/2641577/ Then came an interesting twist on the learning curve for the Buffalo Bills rookie. The radio receiver in his helmet went dead. Again. It happened twice to Manuel during his one half of work, with the second instance occurring while he was in the midst of directing a confidence-building, makeup job of a 92-yard touchdown drive just before halftime of a 44-20 victory against the Indianapolis Colts. "He didn't mess around," Bills coach Doug Marrone told USA TODAY Sports. "He just went on and called the play."
  22. Down to 5 so this should be a little different than what we've had.
