  1. 1 edge player there. We will need 2. Bradham will not be playing on the edge in this defense.
  2. It's already been reported that Mario is moving to OLB. Dareus can play either DE or NT. At first glance: LE: Dareus/UFA NT: Dareus/UFA RE: K. Williams OLB: M. Williams ILB: Brown ILB: Bradham OLB: Lawson Stefan Charles may be able to play 5 tech DE, but I would imagine we will add another DL, probably in the draft as Williams is getting up there in age. We need another ILB, pass rusher, and secondary help. Probably CB. I could obviously see some Ryan defensive guys coming over. David Harris Jim Leonhard Revis or Cromartie Could see us making a run at NT so Dareus can play DE. Dan Williams Ahtya Rubin BJ Raji Pass rushers who will probably be much cheaper than Hughes: Anthony Spencer Orakpo Brandon Graham Jabaal Sheard I don't think those 3 Lbs would be on the field at the same time. Nickel personnel would probably be: Mario Kyle Dareus Brown Bradham UFA SITUATIONAL PASS RUSHER
  3. We spent a 5th rounder so we wouldn't have to guarantee him any money. They absolutely are signing another QB.
  4. They will still sign a guy(Locker) and draft a guy in middle rounds. And they probably like Cassel because he protects the ball. Career TD:INT ratio of 96-70
  5. No mention of how much was guaranteed means this is a pretty worthless report.
  6. Dareus cap number is already around 8. Maybe it doubles. Won't be a problem. Guaranteed money was always the worry. It won't be with Pegula as owner. It tells them "produce and get paid." CJ has 1 good year in the NFL and was 3 years ago.
  7. Restructure Mario = cap savings New contract for McCoy = cap savings Cutting more dead weight = cap savings Tight End is a major need. MLB is not. They can still sign Julius Thomas and a top G and have money left.
  8. McCoy obviously was blindsided by the move and was perceived as a major part of the Eagles. He was loved in Philly. It's not like it wasn't working out for him there. The Eagles were trading him without his knowledge at all. Coupled with the Desean Jackson move last year, he gonna feel a bit jilted.
  9. That's a lot of RBs who aren't very good. Especially 2nd and 3rd rounders.
  10. I would get Revis done ASAP. And pay him what he wants. He is still an elite level CB and has the skill set to become a top tier S later in his career. Our secondary would immediately become one of the best in the NFL, on par with the Cardinals and Seahawks. The Bills can pick up a pass rusher in FA. They are available every offseason.
  11. We are looking for a 5-tech DE.
  12. I have no problem cutting EJ. He can't throw. Period. Go back and watch his 14 games. Just his throws. Not any other plays. There is nothing there to suggest he can play QB. His only positive quality as far as on field talent is that he has escapability in the pocket when there is pressure. His is wildly inaccurate throwing the ball. Everyone FSU fan I knew basically laughed at the pick. This is how they need to approach the QB situation: Cut EJ. Sign McCown. Sign Mallett Trade for Foles. Draft a mid round QB. Then, take a QB in 1st round in 16(we will be probably drafting between 12-21 next year, hopefully there is a worthy QB prospect)
  13. Because Manuel has zero trade value.
  14. They might see Graham as a safety. They aren't going to put him in man coverage. And CBs will be play lots of man coverage. We will probably play alot of big nickel with 3 safeties out there, Graham, Williams, and Duke.
  15. They played one season in LA in the 60s. So I don't know if that really applies but I could see it being something they use to market the the move nationally. As soon as they started trying to grab some of the LA market, they were on their way there IMO.
  16. These aren't trade rumors. The guys at Football Outsiders are going team by team and suggesting a bold move the team can do to improve.
  17. LOL. Only in Buffalo. Revis will absolutely have a 2nd career as a FS.
  18. I personally could have said the same thing until I was in my mid 20s.
  19. The problem with putting Bradham and Alonso on the edges is that neither can rush the passer. The RE in 43 under needs to be a speed rush type of player, like Chris Clemons was in SEA the last few years. 43 under personnel is typically 1 NT (Dareus) 2 300+ DL (Kyle Williams, Stefan Charles or Mario) 1 speed rusher type DE(Hughes) 1 34 OLB type (right now this could be Hughes or Mario, but none of our other LBs fit this profile because they can't rush the QB. Think Bruce Irvin in SEA as the ideal here) 1 Run stopping MLB (Brown or Spikes) 1 athletic coverage LB (Alonso or Bradham) I would think they put Hughes and Mario on the edges. 3 man line inside with Kyle Williams, Dareus, and Charles(remember how important Alan Branch was in this role last year). And Alonso and Brown as your other two LBs.
  20. Jerry Hughes, Kiko Alonso, Preston Brown, and Mario Williams will be starting LBs. Kyle Williams, Dareus, and Stefan Charles will be starting DL.
  21. Yeah. New Bills stadium will not have a roof.
  22. It looks like a soccer stadium. Which I like. I think the Seahawks stadium is a good blueprint for what the Bills should do.
  23. I don't see any cronyism or nepotism going on. All accounts are that they are going after some big fish assistant coaches. Thurmann has been with this D since 2002. Experience matters. Karl Dunbar has a proven track record of success and he is not from the Ravens mid 2000s D staff. He coached the Vikings dominant DL from the mid 2000s and developed Kevin Williams in college to be a top 10 pick. He molded Mo Wilkerson into a great player. He coached Sheldon Richardson to a dominant rookie season. He is arguably the best DL coach in the league. Proven track record. Pepper has a proven track record also and I'd love for him to be back coaching OLBs in this defense. It would also be good for his career IMO.
  24. Dunbar is great with interior lineman and 34 ends. He's not a rush LB coach which is what Pepper would be if he is on this staff. They are not conflicting coaches. Pepper has coached LBs in the 34 and DL in 43 and was 34 OLB when he played which leads me to believe he would be coaching OLBs on this D staff.
