  1. If he does as he's said, and only proposes raiseing it on the top bracket, then I think the Republicans would have a hard time explaining to the middle class and working poor why they won't vote for it when we have deficits. He's also said he would require that new programs be payed for, not just increase the deficit as is currently being done. I'm willing to take the leap of faith.
  2. If we can agree on one accomplishment by Bush, I think it's the fact that he has increased prayer among both Republicans and Democrats.
  3. Depending on who wins, I'll be dropping to my knees and either praying "Thank God" or "God help us".
  4. I don't think that Kerry will make the mistakes that Bush made of going too far to the right and losing the support of moderate Democrats. He will be more moderate like Clinton to get the support of moderate Republicans.
  5. Popular Vote: Kerry 50.5% Bush 48% Other 1.5% Electoral Vote: Bush wins 30 states AL(9), AK(3), AR(6), AZ(10), GA(15), IA(7), IN(11), ID(4), KS(6), KY(8), LA(9), MO(11), MS(6), MT(3), NC(15), ND(3), NE(5), NM(5), NV(5), OK(7), SC(8), SD(3), TN(11), TX(34), UT(5), VA(13), WI(10), WV(5), WY(3) Kerry wins 20 states and DC CA(55), CO(9), CT(7), DC(3), DE(3), FL(27), HI(4), IL(21), MA(12), MD(10), ME(4), MI(17), MN(10), NJ(15), NH(4), NY(31), OH(20), OR(7), PA(21), RI(4), VT(3), WA(11) 298-240 Kerry I think there is a large number of first time voters that are underrepresented in the polls, with the majority of them voting for Kerry.
  6. Culpepper, big enough to take a hit, fast enough to avoid them, and accurate and strong enough to maximize the abilities of Moulds and Evans.
  7. The problem is that if Moore loses playing time when Bennett, Williams, and Smith are available, you'll be hard pressed for a 2nd RB. I don't think I would make the trade.
  8. Well she's big enough to handle both at the same time. I've never seen the movie, is it worth renting?
  9. Videotape shot by a Minnesota television crew traveling with U.S. troops in Iraq when they first opened the bunkers at the Al-Qaqaa munitions base nine days after the fall of Saddam Hussein shows what appeared to be high explosives still in barrels and bearing the markings of the International Atomic Energy Agency. "The photographs are consistent with what I know of Al-Qaqaa," David Kay, a former American official who directed the hunt in Iraq for unconventional weapons and visited the site, told The New York Times. "The damning thing is the seals. The Iraqis didn't use seals on anything. So I'm absolutely sure that's an IAEA seal." http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/20...q-weapons_x.htm Interesting how Bush defenders are throwing out different explainations to see which will stick; we don't know what happened, the Russians removed them, there were Iraqi trucks there beforehand, our troops never saw the explosives at the site, Guiliani saying it was our troops fault. Drip, drip, drip, the pool of evidence of a failed policy and plan continues to fill daily.
  10. And the problem with that would be? You don't hear about too many terrorist attacks in Canada. The tape may be Dick Cheney in a disguise, the glasses look familiar. The tag at the end that says, "I'm George Bush and I approve of this message", may also be a clue.
  11. Elizabeth Marie, but spell it with the traditional 'Z'. Too many kids these days have the same names spelled 5 different ways.
  12. XM recently announced they will be offering the first "Walkman" like receiver. I would expect Sirius would do the same in the near future. http://slate.com/Default.aspx?id=2108707&
  13. I would go with Levens, he's been getting touches at the goalline even before Westbrook got injured. Plus you have to figure that the Eagles will get a lead and then run the ball more, while the Ravens will be behind and have to throw more.
  14. How appropriate, Drew even gets "sacked" in the grocery store by the baggers.
  15. Wile E. Coyote: Every time he tries one of those trick plays, it backfires in his face. They should call them the ACME plays.
  16. If he is, I'd say she's the one who's crushed.
  17. There's no other starters available on waivers.
  18. Brian Westbrook is one starter, but the other one has to be either Travis Henry or Willis McGahee. Who do you think will get more touches and TD chances?
  19. The comeback kids. It would be ironic if Boston and Houston met in the World Series.
  20. Back to the original topic: "....but then I realized that the new show The Biggest Loser was on...."
  21. I agree, but I don't think we'd get a 1st back for Henry. Maybe a 3rd that could become a 2nd based on performance.
  22. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter, it just depends on your perspective. Keep supporting governments that suppress human and civil rights and you're just growing the next generation of frustrated people that have nothing to lose and everything to gain from terrorist activity.
  23. Oh, you mean those Palestinians families who were paid after a family member died attacking Israel? How many of them were paid to attack the U.S.? I can list many more connections to the Saudis than you have regarding Iraq, does that mean we and Spain should invade and occupy Saudi Arabia? Sometimes you can be such a dull tool.
  24. Having 8 years of peace and prosperity but getting caught with your pants down is not as much a blunder as starting an unnecessary war at the cost of thousands of lives and billions of dollars.
