  1. This just fuels the narrative that the Republican party is intolerant to "others". Even if it's just a more socially conservative portion of the party, they appear to have veto power over the rest of the party. If Willard wanted to show true leadership, he would have spoken out against those who didn't like him putting a gay man in a position of prominence. Instead they minimized his position over the past couple of weeks and didn't even include him in foreign policy meetings. Technically Willard can claim he wasn't pushed out, but it's obvious he resigned because they took away the job responsibilities he was originally hired to do and marginalized him to appease the right. Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0512/75821.html#ixzz1tkkN2ZdL But Christian Whiton, who served in the Bush State Department as a political appointee and spoke with Grenell on Tuesday, told POLITICO: “Basically, Ric got Etch-A-Sketched.” “I gathered Ric was frustrated that Team Romney wouldn’t aggressively engage Obama on foreign policy. Ric was kept from talking to the press as a spokesman typically would. They seem to have decided to concede foreign policy to Obama, and therefore didn’t need an aggressive spokesman,” said Whiton, a former Newt Gingrich adviser who described Grenell as a “friend.” “This confirms the worst of what people think of team Romney. It seems in retrospect like Grenell was hired to check some diversity box, but was then kept in the closet because others were offended,” said Whiton. “It’s very strange that foreign policy strategy and related issues were not run to ground before Ric was hired. It’s frankly incompetent management.” Ari Fleischer, a former George W. Bush press secretary, also raised an eyebrow to The Washington Post about Grenell’s absence during the first major foreign-policy moment of the 2012 general election. “Why wasn’t Rick the spokesman in the last couple of days, when foreign policy was paramount? That’s the piece I don’t understand,” Fleischer told the paper. “I don’t know why he wasn’t the spokesman on foreign policy for the last several days. It’s something that nobody understands.”
  2. Beatlesradio.com (all Beatles songs and info) Sportsnet 590 The Fan (Toronto) - They have a hockey show every weekday from noon-1pm. The Nick and Artie Show - Nick Dipallo and Artie Lange M-F 8-11pm (but the past week is available to hear anytime). Coast to Coast AM - The show about all the weird science and UFO stuff. Multiple stations starting at 1am, and there's even a station from Guam that carries it so you can listen during the day.
  3. Newsflash...people throw elbows in politics. Republicans always relied on the foreign policy / military issue as an asset. Now that Obama has taken that away from them they're calling foul. If the mission had failed, Republicans would have been screaming for investigations and saying how Obama was another Jimmy Carter. He made the tough call, it succeeded, and now people need to be reminded of where we were in Iraq and with al Quida before Obama took office, and where we are now. Reagan had an ad about "the bear in the woods", and who do you trust to protect us. One of GW Bush's first ads against Kerry featured images of the Twin Towers and people being taken out of it.
  4. You're right, the more one posts in this forum, the more one's ignorance is shown. Who can throw the most monkey poo.
  5. I can't stand Chucky, he's way too annoying. I'd much rather have Ron Jaworski. If not for Mel Kiper, it wouldn't be interesting at all. I preferred listening to the WGR coverage.
  6. You want a response; you people are over the top looney. Which is why most people don't bother spending every day rebutting your nonsense.
  7. Commander Tom! The good old days of local children's television shows. I went to see Rocketship 7 live when I was about 6 years old. Spilled my orange soda on my pants, and had to sit with wet pants through Dialing for Dollars.
  8. Oh brother! Yes, thank you for that wonderful Iraq War. I am surprised that Obama's socialist death panel approved of the procedure.
  9. Post everyday in the PPP forum.
  10. I could root for Russell, this guy I can't stand. During the last water competition I would have pushed him underwater and held him there until he quit.
  11. If he got cut, with our luck he would sign with the Patriots, and end up being Comeback Player of the Year.
  12. Goodbye. You am right, me and Obama Barack am not as smart as Bizarro Man-Boob and the GOP (Guardians of Privilege). You must have great solution on how to prevent unwanted pregnancies and costs, while not asking insurance to cover expense of prevention when they cover male services like vasectomies, and even Viagra (those slutty men!), AND get rid of Planned Parenthood who provides services to women. Perhaps Super pill between knees? Don't dress so slutty? Listen to Rush so they lose all sex drive? Funny ha-ha how Man-Boob and GOP smarter, but not smart enough to avoid fake war Super trap. Like hooking bears in an aquarium. Hello.
  13. Goodbye. You am from Bizarro Earth, where Obama Barack start war on woman by trying to stop Romneycare, deny health benefits to woman, get rid of Planned Parenthood, force women to get ultrasound before abortion, and redefine what be rape. Hello.
  14. We are not worthy of your wisdom and sage advice.
  15. Yeah, because they've declared "war" on Catholics by requiring them not to pick and choose what health care their workers should be covered for. It won't be a landslide, but when Obama focuses on Romney and the Republican House who are obstructing any progress, it will be a comfortable win.
  16. The job sector that continues to lose jobs is the public sector because of spending cuts at the federal, state, and local level. The private sector is creating jobs, but the overall numbers are lagging due to a shrinking government work force. That's what you conservatives have been wanting. Yet you still piss and moan. What douches.
  17. "It's not good being poor." - Today's words of wisdom from Scrooge McDuck.
  18. Conservative ideas aren't what the Republicans promote, except perhaps Ron Paul. I'm for staying out of people's personal lives too, so I guess I'm more conservative than the candidates.
  19. What does going to a non-partisan celebration of your team's success at the White House have to do with making a political statement? This wasn't an Obama event, it was a traditional White House event. Thomas is a selfish coward for stealing the spotlight from his team, and making a weak statement of why he didn't attend. Get some balls and admit you don't like Obama if you're going to take a stand. Just another reason to hate the Bruins. Fans behind the net should hold up a huge teabag with Thomas' picture on it.
  20. If the debate audience was filled with undecided voters, then allowing for clapping or booing would be acceptable. But these debates are filled with partisan supporters of the various candidates who will cheer their choice and boo the others regardless of what they say. So in that situation it just wastes time and gives the viewing audience a false impression of who's giving the best argument.
  21. Blaming the media is just an excuse that conservatives use because they know that myth is red meat for their constituents. "It's the media's fault why people don't like our ideas". It couldn't be that the ideas are bad or benefit a select few. No that couldn't be it.
  22. He's a hypocrite for opposing saving GM and Chrysler. If he could have directly profited from it, he would have supported it. So much for standing up for the middle class, Mr .001%.
  23. The more I hear from Willard, the more I'm confident that Obama is assured of a second term. By the time the Republicans are done exposing him as the poster child of corporate greed at the expense of middle class workers, it will be easy for Obama to deliver the knockout punch. It won't matter if he picks Rubio, Palin, or Christie for his VP, by the time the general election campaign begins, he'll be defined. And wait until there's more of a call for him to release his tax records. You can't go on offense when you're on defense. Just look at all the posts here trying to defend him. And this doesn't even take into consideration how Obama's commander-in-chief record on Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Bin Laden and al Queda's leadership compares to Romney.
  24. That's what he advocated when the auto companies were bailed out. And then if it happened he would have blamed Obama for all the auto workers and suppliers that lost their jobs. What a hypocrite. Or should I say, flip-flopper.
