The Manchurian Candidate

In the past week Russia has sent jets to buzz a US ship in the Black Sea, deployed a spy ship off Delaware, and tested a cruise missle in violation of a Reagan era arms agreement. The response from "so-called president" Trump who said Obama was too soft on Russia? Sending Defense Sec. Mattis to threaten NATO that America might moderate its commitment. -
With "so-called president" Trump saying he's not committed to a two-state solution, and his weak response to more settlements on disputed land in the West Bank, it won't be a surprise if there is another intifada in the next couple of years. And then Israel will crack down without fear of a response from the U.S., and there will be even more radicalization that will eventually threaten U.S. interests. As Dylan said, when you have nothing you have nothing to lose. Unless of course that great diplomat Jared Kushner can make a yuge deal.

The Manchurian Candidate

On October 31, the FBI denied that there were any links between the Trump campaign and Russia. Confirmation of these now exposed ties could have easily changed the election, as did the Comey letter. Think about all the suburban white women who decided post-Comey letter that they couldn't vote for Clinton because they were mistakenly led to believe that she would be indicted after taking office. But instead we now have a real crisis that should have been disclosed by the FBI pre-election to provide a level-playing field of disclosure. Either disclose nothing or everything. Only 3 weeks in and it's all unraveling. Keep pulling the threads. -

The Flynn controversy doesn't end here. The Congress needs to find out what did Trump know and when did he know it. Did he tell Flynn to talk to the Russians about the sanctions? A quid pro quo for the Russian election help? As the threads are pulled about Russian hacking the Trump narrative will unravel, no matter how many times Stephen Miller says the "so-called president" has been 100% correct. Watergate started with a simple break-in. -
Trump surprised that presidency is actual work

You mean a jackass. What good is not sleeping when he spends his nights tweeting insults or calling an advisor at 3am to find out if a strong dollar is good or bad. Maybe he should spend the time reading about the economy, the Constitution, and the branches of government. Obama waited four months before golfing. "So-called president" Trump has already already taken two weekends to golf, at a time when he says we face an imminent threat from terrorists trying to get into the U.S.. -

There's nothing stopping "so-called president" Trump from retracting the unconstitutional EO and creating a new one that is vetted by the Justice and Homeland Security departments to meet constitutional requirements, except for his ego that prevents him from admitting he is wrong. So stupid and (small) ham-handed.

GOP votes to rebuke Elizabeth Warren for quoting Coretta Scott King in debate on Jeff Sessions for attorney general. So now even the words of Mrs. King are forbidden by Republicans. And people wonder why minorities fear the loss of civil rights protection under "so-called president" Trump. -
Angry over civilian deaths in U.S. raid, Yemen suspends permission for U.S. commando missions, via @nytimes Add in his clumsy attempt at a "not a Muslim ban" and unwillingness to condemn Putin's latest Ukraine aggression, and "so-called president" Trump is really FUBAR as commander-in-chief. #Trumpghazi

Bills ticket prices to remain flat 2017 season
PastaJoe replied to Hammers Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I used to, but I decided I wasn't going to keep paying for an average team, plus the increased boorish behavior in the stands, plus my son who I used to go with had to move away for his job. But that's a different issue than thanking owners for not screwing ticket buyers who support a mediocre product. -

So you have lowered expectations. Teams don't deserve praise for not raising prices when the product is the same. That's what should be done. Talk to me when they lower prices. -

Thanks Pegulas, for not raising prices on a mediocre product. -
Ugh, same sick feeling from election night returns.

I'm disappointed that Frederick Douglass has yet to speak about the BG Massacre. Perhaps he's waiting until Trump invites him to the White House to make a statement. -
Being named as an alternate is like a participation trophy. I can think of 20 NFL QBs I'd rather have than Taylor.

Because if I started an Obama Economy thread it would get deleted. More people looking for jobs could be the result of seeing that the economy has been improving in the past year to the point that there are more openings, or people fearing that they'll need a 2nd household income to make up for losing their ACA healthcare, or to pay the inflated prices that a tariff war will bring.

The unemployment rate has dropped from an Obama administration high of 10% in 2009 to 4.8% in January 2017. Thanks President Obama for leaving us in a much better place then when you began. http://money.cnn.com/2017/02/03/news/economy/january-jobs-report/index.html 'America added 227,000 jobs in January, well ahead of December's gain of 157,000 jobs. The unemployment rate ticked up a bit to 4.8%. More Americans started looking for work again -- a good sign -- which explains the small increase in unemployment. It's the first jobs report to be released under the Trump administration. However, the Labor Department conducted its jobs survey in the second week of January, when President Obama was in office. The report represents the economy that Trump is now taking over.' When asked in his first press briefing what the unemployment rate was, Sean Spicer wouldn't say. He said there are a number of factors and numbers that go into the calculation. So he was asked what did Trump think the unemployment rate was, or what measurable should be used to determine the starting number for the Trump administration. Again he wouldn't say. Of course they don't want to commit to a measurable number because if it goes bad they will say whatever number is used is not true. In business there are always measurables to determine how the business is performing, but the business genius won't commit to any.

If only Trump would follow that advice.
