As the tailgate duties have been passed to the next generation, I wanted to make sure that we hit the Opener running. My Dad and his buddies have been responsible since the Rock Pile days and now the torch has been passed. Food - Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches....I got those baskets that you fill up with charcoal so the chicken will be grilled with non direct heat. The chicken will be marinating in Sweet Baby Rays and Onion the night before (crock pot). Some sides will be pounds of shrimp, wheat thins with Nances spicy mustard and logs of pepperoni. The obvious chips and Bison Dip. Wives are bringing vegetable platters and homemade crab dip. Beverage - plenty of beer and a gas powered blender for the ladies who want the slush drinks. Big vat of bloody mary Amenities - Bills flags, American Flag, bottle opener with Monday Night Theme, 2 Bills helmets, T Shirts - these things are incredible. They are white champion ringers (white shirt with crimson red ringer). On front chest pocket is standing Buffalo helmet. Above helmet "The Tradition Continues" beneath helmet "Pole #1". On the back is "Tailgating at the Ralph Continues" big charging Buffalo logo below that. Below that are the names of 4 guys taking over tailgate and below that are the last names of founding fathers (tailgaters). In between the two sets of names is the old white helmet with charging Buffalo. These things are MAGNIFICENT!!!!!

Both of these remind me of a horrible regime in Buffalo Bills history. Yea, I know, Jp is a great guy and has handled the whole situation like a true professional. I don't disagree but we should have brought in a veteran QB months ago and let JP try to prove his worth elsewhere. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that if Edwards ever goes down, the season is shot. Peters......hurry up you S.O.B. How damaging is it that everyone has been switching positions on the line? The part that really annoys me is that when Peters does come back, all of the gelling is going to take place in the true season where it could have been ironed out before they took the field in Game 1. I honestly see this hold out turning a W into an L at some point.

if he does not feel like he can at least show his face at camp to start working on a new deal then he can sit and rot for the next 3 years. Have fun!!

I watched that last night and felt the EXACT same way. He had a look and tone that made me think he wanted to retire right there on the spot. Although he will never admit it, if he could do it all over again, no way is he playing football right now. It was just painful watching him sit through the whole media session. Too bad his memory could not have been an MVP type year in Green Bay. He was one of my favorites as well and 16 great years have been tarnished for Green Bay fans and Favre fans alike.

I think that one positive is that the Rams have taken the exact same stance that the Bills have and told Stephen jackson that nothing will be done until he reports to camp. Maybe this Eugene Parker charactor will realize that his hardball tactics are not going to work
