  1. Went to Chicago for 11 years after college and loved it. Met my wife there and SHE fell in love with Buffalo (the people, the cleanliness, the food, family atmosphere, etc.) On the cab ride back from O'hare to condo, she asked if I would want to move back to Buffalo. We said we would write down pros and cons that night and we never got to the cons! We bought a house sight unseen and within a month, bam. I was so excited to head home and I would not live ANYWHERE else in the world. The best thing employment wise is to find a sales job where you can work remotely - problem solved. 50% of the people in my company don't even work in an office and it is the BEST way to go. Good luck!
  2. No harm no foul. I was not directing that last statement at you - it was at the person praising you for calling me out on it. No big deal, just trying to let him know that a lot has changed in my way of thinking from Dec - June. I am glad you are going to read the book - great stuff
  3. Apparently you did not notice that this was back in December which I have already stated was months before reading Louise Haye.
  4. I see what you are getting at but these thinkings are not related to the ones I am referring to from the book. I am talking about honestly believing in what you want as already done in your mind. My wife gave me the book by Louise Haye a few months ago and I think that if you really wanted to see what I am after here, you should read it (or rent the movie) - You Can Heal Your Life
  5. Nothin' wrong with that. Why not us... right??
  6. It is much harder for people who are set in their ways of negativity and failure to practice what is being said here so yes, increased success will definitely breed more and more success. The hard part is really breaking that chain of failure so that you can build on just a few small positive outcomes. The more people focus on failure and why they are stuck in it, the tougher it is going to be to change it. Start with the small things and build on it.
  7. Love it, love it. You nailed it on the head right there. I can't even begin to tell you how easily things used to frustrate me (from actual bills, to chaos with kids, to Buffalo Bills). It is all how you approach the situation and handling it in a completely different way. I truly SEE things as already existing in my life even though they will most likely take form further down the road. One of the things Wayne Dyer said when he was just a little kid was that he acted as though he knew he was going to be on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and some guest I can't remmber. Sure enough, 20 years later, there he was in that exact situation with same guest next to him. Dyer said he ALWAYS had the ability to see things as if they were happening and it always came easy to him. He was ALWAYS happy because he allowed himself and believed himself to BE happy. Trust me, I am a rookie when it comes to this type of thinking and just wanted to mention it because it WILL change your daily life.
  8. I can pretty much GUARANTEE that I will still be fired up and have mood swings during Bills games BUT the tough part is to try and eliminate the doom and gloom as if it is expected to happen.
  9. Funny you should mention this. I do believe that this took place in something called the Past. I have taken a whole new outlook and changed negative thoughts to positive in ways I still do not understand. Thanks for the reminder though. This is not to say that I am going to be dancin' in the streets when they lose but it certainly beats other alternatives.
  10. Just visualizing what might happen will never work. I agree that for something like the Bills, the attitude in the locker room is what will prevail. I was suggesting that if you have an entire country full of Bills fans that always resort to the thought process of "how are they going to blow it this time", chances are, something pretty familiar is going to take place. I have taken steps on a daily basis to correct things in my life and all I am suggesting is that why not throw it out there for other things as well. Maybe the guys in the locker room DO have the same neagative thoughts as the fans and together, failure is everywhere with that team. Look at how hockey teams love to bring in that "veteran guy" to take thenm to the next level. Maybe there is a little more to that than meets the eye. Suppose that person changes the whole mental outlook when things look like they are going downhill. Like I said, I am pretty new to this and all I know is I have noticed SIGNIFICANT cahnges on my side.
  11. It is a company called Premiere Global Sports. We don't get involved with the athlete representation like you might unless it is promoting one from our Speaker Division.
  12. I totally agree and that is why it is not easy to change the way one thinks. The Bills picture is just a tiny sliver of what is possible if you can alter your DAILY thought process
  13. The atmosphere surrounding this team and this city has been so low for so many years and it is time for a MAJOR attitude adjustment. I am quite sure that this is going to sound crazy to a lot of people but I am telling you, there is nothing better than a positive outlook on life and how that will reward you in so many different ways. I am now a firm believer in whatever you put out there in the universe will come back to you in spades. I have been doing this for the past few months in my life regarding work and you would not believe the difference it has made. This economy has brought plenty of people down over the past year and I have been coming into work (that I love) and acting as though there is no recession. I have been actually visualizing certain clients coming on board and I kid you not, I am experiencing sales that I have not seen in my 10 years of sports marketing. I could go on for hours on this and I guess the best way to sum it up is through an incredible person known as Louise Haye and the movie / book You Can Heal Your Life. Like I said, some people will brush this off as nonsense but I can assure you it is not. The whole reference to the Bills is to just change the attitude of a perennial loser to a Champion. Maybe that is why veteran leadership in a locker room is so important. They COMPLETELY turn around the mentality of a team. Why not get the fans involved in this mentality as well? All I know is that visualizing things as if they have already happened instead of wishing for them is the key to life (happiness, money, winning, etc.) Here is to a great remainder of the 2009 year to everybody including the Bills and Sabres!
  14. I HAPPILY stand corrected!! WhooHoo!!! http://garylandphotography.squarespace.com...nniversary.html
  15. All I'm saying is that I will believe it when I see it.....Gaughan only says he expects to see it. Trust me, nobody wants this to be true more than me and I just don't see it happening.
  16. I just read the blurb on BB.com and it did not say anything about a white throwback. It merely states that they will be wearing the official throwback with patch which is the blue one. Don't get too excited, the clowns are here to stay
  17. Wow, he really threw the Bills under the bus on that one!! How dare he....There is not one thing in there that suggests anything other than the truth EXCEPT the part where he said he would trade all the money back if he could do it again. Whatever Pisa, you are just as money hungry as the rest of them...liar
  18. Stock Ale is my favorite beer on the planet. Only place I know to get it is Duty Free coming into the States. I got a solid belt buckle of that logo years ago on ebay...ahhh, baby blue with the anchor.....memories of a teen
  19. I don't think a lot of people here realize how terrible our offense has been over the past few years.....
  20. Besides their current "worst unis in the league", you just succeeded in naming the next 3 WORST choices possible signed the USFL and Slugs are us
  21. I had to go to Niagara Falls yesterday and I have to say...WHAT THE!!!!! When the heck did that place take such a turn for the worse. I could not believe my eyes when driving through some of the neighborhoods. I had no idea it could ever reach that level.
  22. The Ngata thing bugs me more than Mike Williams because it was just so unbelievably obvious..
  23. Steelers #1 - they travel like no other.....
  24. Oh well, if he goes somewhere else, so be it (as long as it is not NE)
  25. This team has needed SOMETHING for SOOOO long and as far as I'm concerned, I'll sit back and enjoy. It's about time this locker room got some attitude surrounding it. If they are going to miss the playoffs for a 10th straight season, I want some spice on the offense to enjoy gameday.
