  1. Peterman, the Preseason Champion!! Both Peterman and Trent Edwards looked great in preseason, but bombed out in the regular season.
  2. It was very windy for most of the day yesterday in WNY, so I’m not worried about the missed FG.
  3. 11-5 including a win over the Patriots
  4. Nope. I just believe in finding all sides any story.
  5. It was also on ESPN when they did a five part series on the OJ Simpson case. It's okay, just keep your blinders on.
  6. No. It's a shame that 90% of the jury already had it in their mind that they were not going to find OJ "guilty" due to the LAPD being found "not guilty" in the Rodney King beating case. The judicial system failed Rodney King, so the jurors were going to do something about it. https://www.thewrap.com/oj-simpson-juror-not-guilty-verdict-was-payback-for-rodney-king/ Here's a good explanation of "Guilty vs Liable." http://www.shakelaw.com/blog/civil-criminal/
  7. Here's another reason why I think Simpson's name will not go on a new wall of fame: https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2019/05/21/buffalo-bills-senorise-perry-oj-simpson-jersey-number-32-not-retired-nfl/3759947002/
  8. He was found liable in the civil case
  9. IMO, if the Pegula's decide to build a new stadium, I doubt Simpson's name goes back on their new wall of fame.
  10. Bills defeat the Patriots in the AFC Championship game to stop the Patriots from going to four straight Super Bowls. Bills win the Super Bowl. Browns win the AFC North. Steelers miss the playoffs again and Rapistburger retires at the end of the season. Packers miss the playoffs due to friction between Rodgers and the HC. Antonio Brown requests a trade at the end of the season.
  11. Exactly! And even though the Bills got a bunch of new offensive linemen, they won’t be good this year because it takes more than a year to develop chemistry.
  12. Another great detailed breakdown. Sounds like we can expect a lot of Allen to Brown and Beasley this season. I imagine if defenses try and focus on those two [Brown and Beasley] it will leave Jones, Foster and others open. I'm interested in seeing what Gore can bring to the offense as well as seeing Singletary in action. Another thing I noticed from Astro's notes is that Allen/Daboll are focusing on the area of the field between the LB's and the safeties, which is music to my ears.
  13. I love that movie. "I hope he doesn't get Munsoned out there." "I hope you rot in hell you loser!!! You suck!!! You don't deserve a car!!!"
  14. Virgil, you make a lot of good points, considering the Bills history, their tendencies, etc... This offseason, Beane and McDermott showed me something that we haven't seen since Bill Polian was the GM and that is "A plan to build a team." It seems since Polian left and mostly during the playoff drought years, Bills management/coaches built the team like they were throwing darts (all over the place). We would see a skilled player or two in a group, then rest of the group would be below average players. This offseason, the Bills made a huge investment in the O-line between free agency and the draft. Not only do the Bills have better starters on the O-line, but they have depth. I get that it will take some time for the unit to gel, but it's not like McDermott will be throwing five rookies out there. We've seen in the past that a seasoned veteran (like Incognito) can have an immediate impact. I see the O-line starting the season off good, then progressively start to become a very good-to-elite line towards the end of the season. Allen won't have to run so much to avoid sacks with the new O-line, he'll take off and run when there's nobody 10-15 yards in front of him. McBeane upgraded the WR position with adding Beasley (a clutch receiver) and Brown, so the Bills now have four good WR's between Zay Jones, Foster, Brown and Beasley. Granted, there is not a dominant #1 WR in the group, but I like the WR group by committee approach. If used properly, Allen will have a lot of weapons at his disposal. I also liked McBeane's approach to the RB's. The Bills have the present and future on the team with McCoy/Gore (present) and Yeldon/Singletary (future). Just like the O-line, the RB position have good starters along with good depth. TE position is an unknown at this point as we need to see these guys play. Bringing back Lee Smith to be an extra blocker is a good move. Not sure what to expect from Tyler Kroft as he's injured. With the D-line, I like that McBeane got a penetrating DT in Ed Oliver. Brady is the best in the league at stepping up in the pocket, so getting a player that can get pressure up the middle will force Brady to move to his sides. Jerry Hughes does a great job of getting around the O-line, but by the time he gets to the QB, the QB has stepped up in the pocket and made a play, so if Ed Oliver is as good as advertised, that will make Hughes' job much easier. I agree on your assessment on Trent Murphy, I do wish they would have gotten an upgrade there. Otherwise, the LB's are the best the Bills have had since Fletcher, Spikes and Crowell. I'm not worried about the secondary as they should continue to be a good group. Jets x2 - Split Dolphins x2 - Sweep them Pats x2 - Split (the Bills win the first meeting) Division 4-2 @ Giants - Win vs Cincy - Win @Titans - Win vs Eagles - Win vs Skins - Win @ Cleveland - could go either way but I'll go with a loss vs Broncos - Win @ Cowboys - Win (Losing Beasley will impact the Cowboys offense more than they realize, plus their playcalling is redundant and repetitive) vs Ravens - Could go either way but I'll go with a loss @ Steelers - Loss
  15. I live in Fredericksburg (South Stafford) and work near Quantico. I've never been to Buffalo Mo's even though I pass by it all the time whenever I'm on 610. I'll have to give them a shot. Usually, I'll make wings at home and get the sauces from Wegman's, then watch the Bills games from home since I have Direct TV.

Were you in the military? I was in the Marines and was stationed at Quantico in the late 90's. I met my wife while I was at Quantico and we settled in the area.

We were last in GA about three years ago. We drove to Atlanta, went to the aquarium, ate at The Varsity, then drove to Pensacola, Fl afterwards. I've been to Savannah a couple of times (nice place).

      Ga boy

Hey Jerry Jabber:  No military for me.  My Dad did 15 years in Marines.  I retired as school administrator in Ga, and have been here with Stafford schools since 2005.  Augusta is my home town.  My Mom is there, and we have a son in ATL and one in Savannah.  We'll be back in GA in 2 years.  Buffalo Moes is a fun place.   I see a few Bills fans now and then there.  Been going there for 15 years.  I'm the guy with old style royal blue Bills cap.  I usually show up there after church by 2nd quarter.  Go Bills!!

  16. Originally South Buffalo, now an hour south of DC. Got stationed at Quantico, VA in the late 90's and stayed in the area. If anyone travels to Northern VA, I highly recommend Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon, VA. It's a great place to watch Bills games, great food (beef on weck, wings, Canadian beer, etc...) Same here! Where in VA?
  17. I agree 100% Not to bash the dead, but Ralph wasn't involved much with the team the last 15 years he owned them, which is why the product on the field was as bad as it was, so it wouldn't surprise me that most likely didn't have much (or anything) at all to do with the stadium lease negotiations.
  18. "Poloncarz said that meant the Bills anticipated the likelihood that the team would move after Wilson's death. That's part of the reason the Bills didn't seek a huge sum for stadium renovations or a new stadium, he said." The scene was the Millennium Hotel in Cheektowaga on Oct. 2, 2012. When Glaser, the key state negotiator, dropped the $400 million relocation "bomb" on Littman, the Bills CFO, "Jeff was shocked and angry," Poloncarz wrote. I remember thinking at the time that Ralph Wilson, Russ Brandon, etc... were doing everything they could to keep the Bills in Buffalo beyond Ralph's passing, but it turns out it was the NY politicians who made sure the Bills were staying.
  19. Glad to see Ryan turn his life around and things are looking up for him.
  20. From the Cowboys fans I talked to, they’re upset that Beasley wasn’t signed and that he’s a good, clutch receiver, especially on third down.
  21. Bruce Smith said Fred Smerlas told the Bills defense before Bullough’s last game “if anyone makes a tackle, I’ll kill you!”
