  1. Jauron has a huge fascination with smaller, faster players.
  2. If he can make the switch to OLB and have close to the same success within the next 2-3 years as Elvis Dumervil did this past year with switching from DE to LB, then that's good. It's way too soon to say if he's a bust. Granted, I wanted Orakpo instead of Maybin, but maybe Nix/Gailey can make him into a successful OLB.
  3. I agree, we wasted so many #1 draft picks either by trading up or trading for players that didn't work for long (Bledsoe, R. Johnson).
  4. Does anyone really think we're going to the Superbowl next year? The best way to rebuild the team is build the lines first then branch out from there. Everyone thought Drew Brees was a bust until SD drafted Rivers and Brees stepped his game up. It doesn't matter who we have as QB if the O-line can't give him enough time to throw.
  5. I know switching to the 3-4 opens more holes on this team, but the 4-3/Tampa 2 did not work. Bigger linemen on both sides of the ball is what we need since we play in a cold weather environment. If we played in a warmer weather climate or a dome, then we could stay with what we had. Rebuilding sucks, considering how long our playoff drought has been, but if Nix & Gailey's plan is to get bigger physical linemen and bring in a possibly better offense & defensive scheme, then I'm all for it. The only problem we haven't had on defense was our pass defense, other than that, we need a defensive overhaul.
  6. Ian Scott or Scott Ian?
  7. I agree. Plus, I think Lynch will be traded to the Chargers.
  8. You can't throw to a short WR if they're either double-covered or can't get open. It's okay, keep making excuses up, it's obvious you have never played football and only watch the Bills. Yes, the QB's were pressured to throw to Owens and he dropped 20+ passes last year. But Evans still couldn't get open. The only time Evans has been very successful was when Mike Mularkey was the Head Coach (Don't take this as me saying Mularkey was a good HC). Mularkey had Evans lining up all over the field to get him open and make plays. Jauron & co had Evans always lined up on the outside. Hopefully with Chan Gailey, Chan will get the most out of whoever is his QB and can find ways to get Evans open more often. Sorry, Evans is not a #1 WR and shouldn't be paid $9+ million a year. IMO, they should say goodbye to Parrish & Reed (even though Reed is a decent slot receiver) and bring in a WR that's at least 6ft 3 in or taller and is physical. Also, they should give serious looks to Stevie Johnson and James Hardy, hopefully they both learned a lot from Owens. Eric Moulds and Andre Reed were great physical receivers and that's what we need in Buffalo, enough of the speedy gonzalez's.
  9. #1 WR's are suppose to be able to catch the football, even in double coverage, Evans can't do that. Plain and simple, he's too short, which is why it was a huge mistake to make him a #1 WR and pay him like one. Obviously, you have tunnel vision and see only what you want to see. Look at when Peerless Price went to the Falcons to become their #1 WR, he failed miserably, Price was way too short to be a #1 WR. Speedy, short WR's can be great complimentary #2 WR's to a bigger, more physical WR, like when Moulds was our #1 WR and Price was #2.
  10. Oh yeah, it's a bad idea to trade away a underachieving, #2 WR that makes $9+ million a year. Everyone points the finger at the QB and the O-line but not the WR's, WR's help make the QB as well.
  11. Or is overpaying someone $9+ million a year to underachieve a big problem?
  12. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=107919 Already had a different discussion about Evans & Schobel
  13. How would trading Lynch result in a drafting a QB and bringing one in via FA?
  14. And those numbers are better than Schobel's numbers over the last 3 years. Hopefully the Bills can sign him for 2-3 years.
  15. That's because they're a bunch of spoiled idiots, just like Pats fans. Once McNabb/Brady are gone from their teams and stop making the playoffs for years, then they'll cry and wish they could make the playoffs again.

  17. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/02/12/d...is-the-concern/ Here's a link on why the Bills might sign Porter. They don't have enough depth at LB.
  18. A 3rd rounder, plus throw in Marshawn Lynch.
  19. That would be the best thing to happen to the Bills since we went to the Superbowls in the 90's.
  20. Bill also forgot to mention the numerous dropped passes Collie, Garcon and Wayne. The WR's need to be held accountable as well.
  21. The guy is a huge pile of sh@t, plus he admitted to playing half-azzed and being lazy. Just more reason why the Bills shouldn't even consider this piece of garbage.
  22. We got about 2 feet over the weekend and more last night/today. They don't have the snow removal equipment down here as we did in Buffalo. They're using bobcats, dozers and backhoes in most spots, and a majority of the side roads haven't been touched. I miss having snowtires & a snowblower.
  23. LMAO!!! You got good points!! That's reason I suggested Schobel & Evans be traded, IMO it was a big mistake to give both of those guys their big contracts. Schobel should have gotten what Kelsay did and Kelsay is another overpaid, underperforming DE.
