Good points. Plus, as long as Nix is the GM, Marty won't have to worry about the GM firing him. Marty has taken the Browns and Chiefs (twice) to the AFC championship game, I think he could get the job done here in Buffalo.

If they have no reason go on message boards for finishing 9-7, what does that make us with finishing at 6-10? Take it for what it is. Like I said, its a rumor, nothing substanial. I thought it was interesting to hear that from Steelers fans. Steelers fans don't want Cowher to coach in the AFC because the Steelers would eventually have to face Cowher.

Looks like the Bills are seriously trying this time to land a big name coach. If Cowher doesn't come to Buffalo because of money, then it means he really doesn't want to come here (that's if Ralph is really offering up to $10 mil a year).

Good question. I know we're all hoping for Cowher, so hopefully it happens.

I work with a Steelers fan. He told me the rumors on the Steelers websites are that Cowher is going to Buffalo and is assembling his staff of coaches. Cowher wanted to wait until his daughter was finished with high school (which was last year) and finish is his contract with CBS to go back into coaching. The last word was on the financial terms of the contract to coach in Buffalo. I hope the Steelers websites are correct and Cowher comes to Buffalo.

Congrats Freddie on getting over 1000 yards in a season and over 200 yards in one game. As far as Lynch goes, if we can trade him for a position of need (LT, RT, LB) or some draft picks (similar to the McGahee trade or better) then I'm all for it.

Going into next season, we're set at RB and our secondary.

The Tampa 2 works in warm weather climates or dome stadiums, not cold weather cities. I like Perry, but I'll be glad to see the Tampa 2 done away with in Buffalo.

I always was a big fan of Marv's but his tenure as GM was not a good one. Hiring Dick Jauron was his worst move by far. Like Jim Kelly said in his interview, this is the time to build the Bills into a decade team. Let's hope we land Cowher and see Nix & Cowher transform this team into a powerhouse again. Go Bills in 2010!!!

Even though today's game didn't have any real meaning to it (besides playing for their jobs), it was a fun game to watch. It reminded me of the old December/January games back in the late 80's & early 90's. Hopefully, this decade, we'll see home snowy playoff games again.

I agree. Some people are acting like Modrak or Guy got the GM job. And with people complaining about hiring within, this is Nix's first year back with the team, it's not like he's been here as long as Modrak or Guy. So far, Byrd, Wood, Levitre and Nelson look like solid draft picks. Only time will tell about Maybin. So far in the interviews with the press, Nix has hit on all the major problems: A QB with a strong arm to throw in Buffalo weather, Big-nasty linemen, strength & conditioning, a good coach & good coordinators, having a coach that can lite a fire under players butts when they're playing like crap. If Nix can transform Buffalo like he, Butler, A.J. Smith did with the Chargers, then we'll have a great team again for years.

Will we see the return of the 3-4 defense back in Buffalo? I hope so, enough of the Tampon 2 crap.

I think any of the coaches you mentioned would be a good fit. I'm hoping for Cowher or Marty.

I'm all for Nix & Marty. If they can turn around the Bills like they did the Chargers, that would be great.

Congrats Kyle, great job this year! I agree, we do need another big runner stuffer to compliment Kyle. I like Stroud, but I think his better days are behind him.
