  1. I forgot, Kyle Orton was considered a top NFL QB in Chicago. And Jay Cutler looked really good in Chicago this year (sarcasm).
  2. I'm sure there are teams that think Evans could really help their offense (depends on who they already have on their offense). Look at Housmanzadeh (don't know if that's spelled right), he's getting $14 million a year. We traded trash (McGahee) for two 3rd rounders and a 7th, so a lot of it has to go on reputation as well. My point to the whole thread was trading Evans for Marshall.
  3. Wow, I guess people can't read? I said trade EVANS for MARSHALL How is trading Evans for Marshall leaving any holes? Here are the stats for Evans and Marshall: Evans stats 2009: 44 Rec, 612 yds, 7 TDs 2008: 63 Rec, 1017 yds, 3 TDs 2007: 55 Rec, 849 yds, 5 TDs 2006: 82 Rec, 1292 yds, 8 TDs 2005: 48 Rec, 743 yds, 7 TDs 2004: 48 Rec, 843 yds, 9 TDs Marshall's stats: 2009: 101 Rec, 1120 yds, 10 TDs 2008: 104 Rec, 1265 yds, 6 TDs 2007: 102 Rec, 1325 yds, 7 TDs 2006: 20 Rec, 309 yds, 2 TDs It's clear that Marshall can produce consistently. Even with the Broncos going from Cutler to Orton, Marshall's numbers didn't drop off much. I'd much rather have Marshall than Evans.
  4. If we can trade Marshall for Evans, you wouldn't do it? Obviously, Marshall is not happy and Evans is regarded as a top WR in the league.
  5. I bet you think we should keep the current Tampa 2 defense as well?
  6. Here's Evans stats 2009: 44 Rec, 612 yds, 7 TDs 2008: 63 Rec, 1017 yds, 3 TDs 2007: 55 Rec, 849 yds, 5 TDs 2006: 82 Rec, 1292 yds, 8 TDs 2005: 48 Rec, 743 yds, 7 TDs 2004: 48 Rec, 843 yds, 9 TDs I'm sorry, but you don't pay someone $9+ million a year for 44 Receptions and 612 yards. I would much rather have Brandon Marshall anyday over Lee Evans. IMO, the only coach who knew how to properly use Evans was Mularkey. Mularkey had Evans lined up all over the field to get him open. I'm not saying Evans is a bad player, but he's definitely not worth the money he's getting. I'd rather see the Bills go with a bigger, more physical WR in Marshall than Evans. Yes, our QB's have sucked, but Orton is no better and look at the numbers Marshall had with him.
  7. Schobel says he wants to play closer to home, plus he has the 2nd highest salary on the team and is getting older. He did have a rebound season, but can he keep it up and how will the transition to the 3-4 affect his game? I'd say try and make a trade with Houston or Dallas, that way he can be close to home. Since we're transitioning to a new defense and basically are rebuilding this team, I'd rather go with a younger, faster guy that will be around longer than Schobel. (Just my opinion) Evans has not been able to put up consistent numbers since he's been here. One week, he'll have over 100 yards receiving, then followed by 2, 3 or 4 games where he's lucky to put up 40 to 50 yards. You don't pay a guy $9+ million a year to be a #2 receiver. Granted, we haven't had solid play at QB, but Evans is a short, speedy WR, once the speed is gone, they're not that useful (look at Peerless Price). Plus, in bad weather/snowy games, the snow takes away the speed, so you should go with a big physical WR. I'd like to see the Bills trade Evans for Brandon Marshall, Marshall is not happy in Denver and would be a upgrade over Evans. As a matter of fact, they should trade or cut loose Parrish as well. We have James Hardy & Stevie Johnson on the team, and we haven't been able to get a good look at those guys, so if the Bills decided to turn the page on Reed & Parrish, I would have no problem with that.
  8. Now that 'The Dick' is gone, I think we will finally have a draft where 4 to 5 picks aren't spent on the secondary every year.
  9. He didn't mention about bringing in a solid Tackle (either via FA or draft). Even if we get McNabb, he'll won't last the season unless the holes on the O-line are fixed.
  10. So people are blaming the Colts Superbowl loss to them benching their starters in the last 2 games? Give me a f@!kin' break!!!! I guess the Colts starters didn't play in the divisional round and the AFC Championship game either. Everytime I've seen the Colts this past decade, I can't help to think that it should be the Bills in their position. Ralph totally screwed things up when he fired Polian. I don't care that Polian is 1-4 in the Superbowl, all of us would have loved if he stayed with the Bills and have won at least 1 Superbowl.
  11. I really wish people would stop fantasizing about this scum bag. He could never win a game with his arm.
  12. From what I read on bb.com, they could use Stroud as a NT and Williams & Spencer Johnson could be used as DE's. They also said Poz & Mitchell could be the ILB's and Schobel & Maybin will be the OLB's. I'd imagine, the Bills will either draft (most likely) a NT or pick one up via FA. I'm not sure what their plans are for Ellis & McCargo. Should be an interesting time between the start of FA & the draft.
  13. My vote is for Troy Smith (stated my reasons on the top of the page)
  14. I didn't know Ozzy electrocuted dogs with jumper cables, drowned them in a 5 gallon bucket, hung them by a noose, threw a family dog into a ring with pitbulls just to watch the family dog get ripped to shredds and laugh about it and fought his dogs to death.
  15. I don't want to see Mike "Pitbull" Vick in a Bills uniform. Besides being the scum of the earth, he's not an accurate QB. I'd like to see the Bills go after Troy Smith from Baltimore (not because Donte "Mr. Playoffs" Whitner suggested him). From what I've seen of him the last 2 pre-seasons, he looks good and should be given a shot to start somehwere in the NFL.
  16. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true Hope he brings the hand chainsaw with him.
  17. Who let the dogs out... Seriously, besides his legs, he's not an accurate QB. Besides that, he's a major scum bag. We already have one scum bag on the team (Lynch) and don't need a worse one.
  18. Ralph, would you please do us all a favor and sell the team to Jim Kelly already!!!! You're now a big freakin embarrassment!!! You and Al Davis need to ride into the sunset together. You could have had a good, winning head coach with Marty, who in fact is very good friends with your new GM and you didn't want him because you didn't feel comfortable?! You're a big freakin idiot and deserve all the critcism you get!!! Now that I got that off my chest. I would much rather have Marty than Chan. Yes, tons of people bash Marty's playoff record (5-12). But, he's been to 3 AFC Championship games and has been to the playoffs 17 times with 3 different teams. With that being said, Marty knows how to be a successful coach. I think the combo of Nix/Marty would have been great for the Bills. I hope Chan & Buddy can turn this team around and we can be a serious playoff contender in 2-3 years. Chan already mentioned he likes the 3-4 defense (IMO, good choice) but that's up to the D.C. (whoever that may be).
  19. 20. Ever since that game Bruschi came back from his stroke, I couldn't stand him. The entire game "Tedy Bruschi this..." Tedy Bruschi that..." The Raiders are better than the Bills...STFU Jackass!!!!!!
  21. QB 2 Tackles 2 Defensive Ends 1 or 2 LB's (depending on what they plan on doing with Maybin) 1 or 2 WR's (If TO doesn't sign & if Reed is gone)
  22. John Basedow
  23. I'm not drunk off the "One Bills Drive" kool-aid, I'm just willing to give this guy a shot. The Bills tried every big name, but had no luck. What do you expect when you have no solid QB, tons of holes on a team, plus a meddling 91 year old owner? I don't mean to keep bashing on Ralph, he's done a lot of good for the team, but then again, he's screwed up a bunch of good things on this team as well.
  24. Exactly. I just hope something is already in place that way once Ralph dies. There's been specualtion about that, but we won't know anything about that until Ralph dies.
