  1. I love Terrorist Pizza from the Jerky Boys, that video on youtube had me rolling. Thanks! I agree with your assessment of the Jets signing Taylor. But you know how some fans are, if we're not doing more in FA than other teams in the division, then that automatically means the Bills will be in last place. The Bills are rebuilding and Taylor would not be a good fit with a rebuilding team.
  2. The Jets signed Jason Taylor...Oh my goodness, Martha Uncle Freddie died!!!!!! The sky is falling....AAAGGGHHH!!! Give me a f@!king break already.
  3. Nix & Whaley are following the mold of the Chargers & Steelers, improve through the draft and pick up mid-range FA's.
  4. You still have to draft a good player. Look at how many busts Donahoe drafted?
  5. The author did forget to mention the "bend-don't-break" defense, I sure hope those days will be long gone.
  6. Sometimes you don't need a great QB to win. Just ask Jim McMahon (85 Bears) and Trent Dilfer (00 Ravens). It would be great to finally have a franchise QB though, but there are a few pieces left that need to be filled as well.
  7. I agree. Also, the Bills will have to find out if Aaron Maybin, Stevie Johnson and James Hardy can pan out to be good players.
  8. I thought the article hit everything on the head about Jauron. It's possible that the Bills could have made it to the playoffs over the past 4 years, but they wouldn't have been a superbowl contender. A good coach will play to the strengths of his players, which is something Jauron didn't do either. How can anyone expect an offense to be successful, when you are limited in plays and the coach wants to employ a "pop warner" type offense? Good coaches find ways to find close games. Bad coaches, like Jauron play scared and lose them. I think most of the posters on here could have called better plays than Jauron & Co did.

  10. Pig Ben, Rapelisberger...keep the names coming, he deserves everyone one of them.
  11. Over the last 4 years, the Bills had playoff potential, but didn't have a competent coaching staff. Every year over the last 4 years, there were 2-3 (if not more) games where the Bills should have won if it wasn't for the udder stupidity of Dick Jauron. Jauron never had the team physically prepared to play to start the season, which is why the Bills had a high number of players on IR during his tenure. Jauron played not to lose, instead of playing to win. Plus, Jauron didn't always play the best players, it took injuries for Greer, F. Jackson and Byrd to be put in as starters. The team is not that far off. So far Gailey has been addressing some of the problem areas from the Jauron era, if he can address most (hopefully all) and we have another solid draft, we could be a playoff team sooner than anyone expects it.
  12. Fine, be a negative nancy with the rest of the doom & gloomers.
  13. LMAO & bad santa!! That's a good one!! 1. You have a point. We have Johnson & Hardy, who are two unknowns still. Also, can Gailey get more production from Evans? 2. The Bills will let all 3 QB's battle it out. Gailey also said they will add another QB, either in the draft or FA. Let's wait and see what happens next week. 3. I would hope the Bills make a move on Schobel soon or trade him to somewhere he wants to go. IMO, our defense will be better. Getting rid of the Tampa 2 defense is a great start. Adding Andra Davis & Dwan Edwards were 2 solid moves. Moving the smaller DE's back to LB's is a good move, since none of them (besides Schobel) could get a whiff of the QB. We'll find out next week if the Bills address the NT & LB positions. 4. You're right about Wood, I hope he can rebound, but it's a gamble. LT needs to be addressed in rounds 1 or 2 of the draft. RT, Green is a stop-gap for 1-2 years until the Bills can draft another RT. 5. You do have a point about Lynch. There's a ton of speculation whether Lynch will or will not be traded. If the Bills address the O-line situation next week, then that could open things up for the RB's. I'm being realistic, I know the Bills are not going to make the playoffs this season. There are a lot of holes to fill, plus a new coaching regime. But, I don't see how Gailey can be worse than the coaching staff that was in here. A pop-warner offense? Drafting 4 to 5 secondary players every year? Not having these guys accountable for their workouts in the gym (plus 12 TV's). Not having the team prepared for the start of every season. I'm glad Jauron & Co are gone and feel better about the Bills chances over the next few years. The process that Nix is going through will take at least 2-3 years, so I'd rather see the Bills built the right way and not try and go for the quick fix like Donahoe tried doing.
  14. You hit everything right on the head. Great post!!
  15. Why don't you drive on down to your local store, buy some straws and suck it up!!!! Almost every year, the skins make a big splash in FA, but it gets them nowhere. We have a brand new management/coaching staff and people like you are already sticking the fork in them. How do you know already that our new coaches can't make this team any better? Tell me that sherlock?! We had 3 years of Jauron ball, who IMO is one of the worse HC's in football, but we went 7-9 three years in a row followed by 6-10. If we had a decent coach during that period, it's possible that we could have made it to the playoffs. The draft hasn't even taken place and all the whiners, including you, have come out of the woodwork.
  16. I didn't know the Bills let go of a QB with a winning record and decided to go with a QB with a losing record? How did the Bills get worse from last season already?
  17. The Bills didn't trade for Marshall...The Bills didn't trade for Holmes...The Bills are gonna be last in the division...Nix is not doing anything...The sky is falling...I fell down the stairs and my shoes fell off. STFU already!!!!!! I didn't know the 2010 season was over with already?! So if everyone was to determine how well teams would be, just by what a team has done in free agency, the Washington Redskins would have been multiple time Superbowl champions since Dan Snyder took over.
  18. No chance Bills Not in the basement? So you're saying the Bills are not going to finish last then?!
  19. "After a night of drinking, then driving, Lynch decided that hitting the back of O-linemen wasn’t enough, so he decided to hit drunk dancing Canadian women on Chippewa St with his SUV." "Nine months later, 20 Dolla decides that smoking pot at home is boring, so he chose to go out with his friends in his unlicensed Mercedes with tinted windows (with an unregistered hand gun in the trunk), park on the side of the road and smoke up there…Wow, no policeman would ever find anything suspicious about that, now would they?" I thought those were funny. Obviously, the author was making fun at what a dumbass Lynch was, just like when Plaxico shot himself. I didn't think the article was horrible like Dorkula stated. The author did bring up some good points, Lynch had potential, always keeps his feet moving upon initial contact (which was a big complaint Bills fans had on McGahee), and is hard to bring down. It's just a shame that Lynch has been a problem child since he's been here.
  20. http://www.realfootball365.com/articles/bills/14820 After Nix's pal Schottenheimer was fired at the end of the 2006 season, Nix retired at that time instead of getting fired. Nix was with the Chargers from 2001-2006.
  21. Maybe the Bills are just planning to fill some holes this year and not worry about the major parts just yet (QB, WR). LT, NT & LB are the biggest needs this year. It's been 27 years since the Bills drafted a successful QB, so if we end up with a bad record and can draft one of the top QB's next year, then I'm fine with that. The Bills are not making the playoffs this year, they are rebuilding and it's gonna take some time. It sucks to have to wait longer, but that's what happening whether any of us like it or not.
  22. I think this article sums up what Nix has accomplished. http://www.realfootball365.com/articles/bills/14820 I'm not thrilled either about Marshall going to the fins, I would rather have Marshall than Evans, I was hoping the Bills could have traded Evans for Marshall. But there's no way the Bills could afford two 2nd rounders when they have so many holes on this team to fill.
