  2. It's a good question. Since McNeill didn't sign the RFA tender and his salary for 2010 drops to $600,000, what does A.J. Smith want for him and what is Nix willing to give up? http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true Looks like the same for Vincent Jackson.

  4. So you're saying that Fewell's defense never went into a shell with the lead in any games? Fewell never played scared and went to the prevent defense in any game? Nevermind that Special Teams failed to do their job and recover the ball.
  5. Cincinnati is iffy and did not play well down the stretch. The Patriots are on the decline, plus Wes Welker is coming off of season ending surgery. The Pats still have no running game and have a very young, raw defense. Miami doesn't have a good QB, plus they're getting a locker room cancer in Marshall. People forget the Bills beat the Phins 31-14. IMO, the Jets will win the AFC East. Another team that was a contender (but missed the playoffs) is the Steelers. Rapelisberger will be suspended for 6 games, so that will have an impact for not only those first six games, but until Pig Ben gets back in the swing of the regular season. Plus, the Steelers traded Holmes.
  6. http://www.realfootball365.com/articles/bills/14829 This article shows if the Bills had competent coaching over the last 4 years, the Bills could have been in the playoffs at least 3 out of the last 4 years.
  7. +2 You're 100% correct. But most of the naysayers on here seems to think the Pats, Phins & Jets will be 11-5 or better and the Bills will be 5-11 or worse. I can see the Bills at 9-7 with a wild card berth this season and at least 3-3 in the division.
  8. http://www.realfootball365.com/comments/bills/14887/ This article takes a good look at teams that successfully transitioned in one year from the 4-3 to 3-4 defense.
  9. Billsfreak is a moron and a cry-baby coward. I bet if the Bills were to ever win a Superbowl, he would be the type to have something to complain about it. "Yeah, the Bills won the Superbowl, but..."
  10. LMAO!! I remember that. Dukes ripped on that fan big time and said (something along these lines): Watch in a few years and we'll see what that fan has to say. Well, I'd say that fan was absolutely right to have his jaw dropped to the floor and Jamie Dukes, Charlie Davis and Marshall Faulk are a bunch of idiots.
  11. Mike, I doubt billsfreak accepts either offer. This guy likes to talk like he's a 'know it all', but won't back any of it up. Doesn't surprise me that this guy has already claimed to have accepted one of the offers, but no one can find the post in which he accepted the offer.
  12. I like the ranking at #21, IMO it's accurate. IMO, the Saints should be ranked at #1 and the Colts at #2. The Saints won the SB by convincingly beating the Colts. The Colts had young WR's last season and will only get better. With Dallas, I'm so sick of seeing them rated high. IMO, Romo is great during the regular season, but stubles in the playoffs. Plus, they have Wade Phillips as HC. While Phillips knows how to get teams to the playoffs, but that's been about it with him.
  13. That idea is about as dumb as the idea that was floated around here about doing a walkout after the 1st quarter at RWS. So, the NFL players are gonna bust their butts during training camp, pre-season and the regular season to make it to the playoffs, then say "I'm not playing, I'm going on strike". That makes no sense.
  14. Bring on Shane Falco and Coach McGinty. GO FALCO!!!
  15. I agree. The Bills had the 2nd best pass defense last season, but had the 30th ranked run defense. Getting bigger in the front 7 will help the run defense this season. The pass rush will be the biggest question going into the season on defense. I know there will be an adjustment period with installing a new defense, but I can see the defense finishing in the top 15 at the end of the season.
  16. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/06/10/s...n-not-til-sept/ Sorry Schobel, but you're not Bruce Smith, even though Bruce used to pull the same antics (getting his knee scoped to avoid training camp). If Schobel thinks the Bills are going to wait all the way until September for him, then he's crazy. Schobel will have to transition from DE to OLB and he thinks he's just gonna avoid all the OTA's, mini-camps, training camps and pre-season games and just come in and know the new defensive system and know how to play as an OLB? Go ahead and retire now Schobel.
  17. Please stop with blaming Flutie on the fumble already. It's been discussed over and over already. Trace Armstrong buried his helmet into Flutie's armpit while Flutie's arm was in throwing motion...sorry, but how is that a rookie mistake?
  18. IMO, Schobel's best play as a Bill was the season opener last year vs the Pats. His leaping one-handed INT that he turned into a TD was awesome. IMO, Schobel was a sproadic player. He was never consistent with getting sacks, but was good against the run. I wish Schobel would have given the Bills an answer much sooner (before the draft) that way Buddy Nix had more time to try and make a deal and trade him.
  19. I'll have to eat a big bowl of crow on that one. I was wrong on that play. I do remember there was one play (I thought it was the Dallas game) where Edwards threw it to Evans in the endzone and had a chance at it, but Evans didn't try to jump or knock the ball away from the DB and I remember the announcers jumping on Evans' case about it. After how many years of bad football and blown games, they all seem to run together. But like I said, I was wrong on the Dallas game...sorry! Thanks again for posting the video.
  20. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...e0-a2e17e6c1640 Looks like Brohm had the better day, especially in Red zone work.
  21. I'll have to check it out later. If I'm wrong, I'll eat some crow on it.
  22. I hear ya! I still can't believe we lost that game, especially with all the turnovers we had that game. IMO, Kelsay's best play as a Bill was when he batted Romo's pass and caught it in the end zone.
  23. I can't check the link out here. I'll have to check it out later and respond back. Thanks for posting a link!
  24. We can go back and forth all day long, but it's not gonna do any good. I'm sure we can both agree that the last coaching staff was one of the worst in Bills history. The offense over the last 4 years ranked 30th 3 out of 4 years (25th being the highest). Gailey has had a knack for getting the most out of sub-par/average players (Tomczak, Fielder, Stewart, Thigpen). With that being said, let's see what Gailey can do with this offense and most importantly Evans. IMO, you need at least 2 good quality WR's. I liked the combo of Moulds/Price and was really hoping Owens/Evans would have been better. Last year was a major cluster f@ck. I'd love to see one or more of these guys step up and become a big factor in the passing game (Easley, Johnson or Hardy). If Evans has a better year and has more than 1,000 yards receiving and 8 or more TD's, than I'll eat some crow. But if Evans doesn't have a better year, how long will the excuses continue for Evans?
