  1. I think having a stadium in Downtown would be ideal for the city of Buffalo as PTR explained above.
  2. From what Russ Brandon stated, it could take up to two years just to even come up with a decision on a new stadium or retrofitting "The Ralph." If retrofitting is the answer, then how much more retrofitting will need to be done considering "The Ralph" is presently being renovated? Also, is there any way possible for a new, long term lease to be completed, whether it’s for a new stadium or “The Ralph” before the team is sold?
  3. Yes, April Fools
  4. Bills hire their former starting QB Rob Johnson as an Asst QB coach. WTF are they thinking?!
  5. Wow, I try to say something decent, especially after just losing Ralph, and this is the response I get. I bashed the Bills & Brandon very heavily over the last couple of years, so by no means am I a kool-aid drinker.
  6. Just like with anyone in life, people make mistakes and there's no doubt Russ has made his (especially when he was GM). But I feel he has a lot of good ideas, good intentions, and is trying very hard to turn the Bills around, so I have to give him a lot of credit for that.
  7. My guess is Ralph will leave the team to his niece, Mary Owen.
  8. Thank you Mr. Wilson for bringing football to Buffalo. Also, thank you for your service in WWII in the South Pacific.
  9. "New York is bound to have competition, with NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reporting that the Buffalo Bills and the Oakland Raiders also have their sights set on Vick." I wouldn't mind him as a veteran backup to Glass Joe [Manuel]. I think Vick could come in and play good for a couple of games in a row.
  10. I agree JayBaller, I feel the Bills could use another quality DE as guys like Hughes and Lawson will be part-time DE's. I haven't heard anything about Moats being resigned, but if he is sill going to be on the team, I think he would do good as a situational pass rusher as well.
  11. With the recent additions at LB and the switch to the 4-3 defense, where does this leave Jerry Hughes? Pettine wisely used Hughes as a situational pass rusher last year as Hughes had a breakout year. I'm suspecting Schwartz will have Hughes at DE and rotate him out with Lawson, but that's just my guess. Has there been anything official from Bills about Hughes?
  12. I'm glad that the Bills signed Spikes as our run "D" has been terrible. I just hope Spikes and Dareus don't car pool together...
  13. Too bad Robert Kraft wasn't more like Jerry Jones, lol!!
  14. Moats is a DE in a 4-3 and has been playing out of position since he was drafted. IMO, Rivers is being brought in because he is good against the run (something the Bills suck at), so if he's a situational LB, then I have no problem with the signing.
  15. Should have used the franchise tag on Byrd and tried trading him prior to the draft (similar to Jason Peters). Now, the Bills lost one of their better players and got nothing in return.
  16. Considered the Bills have averaged 6-10 over the past 14 years, I'd say that's a safe bet. I guess we can see a parade in downtown Buffalo whenever the Bills make the playoffs again.
  17. Just letting Byrd walk without putting the franchise tag on him again makes absolutely no sense. At least with the franchise tag, the Bills could still have more time to trade him, especially with the draft approaching in May. Letting one of your best players walk without getting anything in return is a very idiotic move. If the Bills are unable to move him, then they might as well stick it to Byrd and his agent since it's obvious Byrd doesn't want to play in Buffalo, no matter the price.
  18. What's the over/under on Glass Joe [Manuel] making it through the preseason without an injury to either one of his knees?

  20. Is Russ Brandon a puppet CEO? Are the puppetmasters Littmann, Overdorf, and Berchtold? It could seem that Russ’ huffing and puffing he did about leaving no stone unturned in making the Bills a winner last year when he was named the CEO was just another marketing scheme.
  21. This is disheartening to hear as the culture at OBD has not changed. Then again, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised as Littmann, Overdorf, and Berchtold have been part of the problem in Buffalo for years. Russ Brandon is supposed to be the man in completely in charge at OBD, but it doesn’t appear that way as Whaley and Marrone keep running into roadblocks with the front office. I hate to say it, but I don’t think anything will change until the Bills have a new owner and the three stooges “Littmann, Overdorf, and Berchtold” are gone.
  22. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-opinion/2014/2/24/5441756/buffalo-bills-front-office-rift-russ-brandon-doug-whaley-marrone From Tim Graham: “But team sources tell me executives such as Littmann, Overdorf and Berchtold still hold too much sway and haven't afforded Whaley or Marrone as much control as either feels he needs to correct a losing culture. These sources tell me Marrone and Whaley would like more control over personnel decisions, especially free agents.” This is disheartening to hear as the culture at OBD has not changed.
