  1. Considering Goodell has handed out suspensions for arrests that happened last year [bradham, Jamaal Charles], I wouldn't be surprised if Goodell suspends Dareus at the start of next season.
  2. http://t.co/6EaQPSoEAS "Two sources familiar with the sales process told The News the Kellys have made lofty partnership demands: 2 percent equity in the team, lifetime jobs for Jim and Dan, an up-front cash payment for their services and final say on all football decisions." I've always liked Jim Kelly and I know what he means to us Bills fans, but I think Jim is being delusional with his requests.
  3. Chicago's pass defense was discussed this morning on NFL AM. The announcers feel even though it is preseason, there should be concerns about Chicago's pass defense as it was bad last season, and through two preseason games so far this year looks to be in worse shape. If Chicago's pass defense is as bad as it has been showing, then Manuel and the Bills offense could have a huge game in the season opener.
  4. I agree 100% This is exactly what a team like the Bills (who have had a losing culture for years) need to turn the corner. The extra preseason game and scrimmages will help them be better prepared for the season.
  5. Sounds like the Bills got their butts handed to them today against the Steelers. IMO, that can be a good thing as the players can see it as a wake up call to step up their game.
  6. The same can be said for the Cowboys every single year and look at how they finish? I see Trestman as a downgrade from Lovie Smith. If Lovie Smith was still coaching the Bears, then I would be worried about the game.
  7. Even Eric Davis from NFL network chalked up the Jets sweeping the Bills this coming year. The only way public opinion about the Bills is going to change is the Bills making the playoffs.
  8. I'm looking forward to seeing Cutler get sacked, hit, and running for his life in the season opener.
  9. Both Gregg Williams and Mike Mularkey held scrimmages against other teams when they were the Bills HC. The highest wins in a season they had were 8 (Williams) and 9 (Mularkey). Since Jauron stopped scrimmages against other teams, the highest wins that he and Gailey had in a season were 7 (Jauron) and 6 (Gailey). IMO, having scrimmages against other teams will only make the Bills better. Marrone is trying to get rid of the losing culture in Buffalo, so if this is part of what it takes to change that culture, then the players will have to deal with it.
  10. Normally I would agree with Freddie, but considering how bad the Bills have been over the past 14 years, I disagree with him on his one. Once Jauron was hired, he stopped the scrimmages against other teams, which I thought was a very stupid move. IMO, having practices against another team makes you more prepared for the season. Since Jauron stopped the Bills practices against other teams, the highest amount of wins the Bills had since was 7 in one season, otherwise the Bills have mostly won 6 games in a season. Even the great teams have scrimmages against other teams. The Patriots scrimmaged against the Redskins last week before they played against each other over the weekend. Overall, I'm glad to see Marrone bringing back the scrimmages, as this will not only help EJ Manuel and the young players on the team get better prepared for the season, but will help the team as whole to be ready.
  11. Is Manuel playing? According to nfl.com, Lewis is playing right now.

  13. Taco Bell is a sport franchise?
  14. I thought the NFL prohibits someone to own sports franchises in two different cities?
  15. Howard WGR @hsimon62 so if Jim Kelly is hooked up with undisclosed #Bills bidder meeting with trust today its another group that wouldnt move team#hurray Retweeted by WGR 550 Two sources: Jim Kelly has hooked on with a Bills bidder, and they are meeting with the team's trust today. http://billsblitz.wp.buffalonews.com/2014/08/07/sources-many-eight-bills-suitors-scheduled-person-presentations-donald-trump-went-first-wednesday/?preview=true&preview_id=198271&preview_nonce=66b318ef1a … Retweeted by WGR 550
  16. So far, he's proven to be very inconsistent, but the Bills have no choice but to give him time. If he doesn't show significant improve by the end of the season, then the Bills need to look for a much better at option. With the talent level currently on this team, the Bills would be a Super Bowl contender with a Top 10 QB.
  17. http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2014/08/jim_kelly_bon_jovi_dan_patrick_cancer.html "Meanwhile, Kelly says he's part of a minority ownership group but has to wait to see how things shake out with the majority owners before figuring out his next move." So, is Jim waiting until a new Bills owner is approved to try and become a minority owner of the team?
  18. How about RT Cornell Green, the turnstile that replaced Brad Butler?
  19. I liked seeing Woods in the slot as he was able to run through blocks and get good yards after the catch/hits. Hopefully the Bills will use Woods in the slot this year as I feel he can be very effective there.
  20. We forgot a couple of gems from the Boss Hogg [buddy Nix] era: Torrell Troup Ed Wang
  21. If the Bills weren't playing, then I agree, the in-game interviews wouldn't bother me. I can tolerate Collinsworth as he's nowhere near as annoying as Theismann.
  22. People are also forgetting about the great John McCargo. Ashton Youboty
  23. I found it very annoying that NBC kept interviewing people during the game last night. It was very hard to keep up the play on the field as well as penalties that were called. I think NBC should either wait until halftime or when there is a break in the action to do interviews.
