  1. With everything falling that way in his draft. My haul would be way different!
  2. Agreed more than likely DE is not a great value ar 54. CB, RB or OT works though. Although I could see Epenesa falling to the 2nd round with the poor combine. That would be interesting.
  3. McDermott does like to rotate them in so maybe we keep 10 or maybe Murphy gets let go or they trade someone. They definitely need to get younger and find someone for next year.
  4. That was one of my questions. I think we have to take one this year or we will be looking at FA next year as well.
  5. Late round gold nuggets. Keep them coming!
  6. That's my point. Everyone in the clubhouse is 30+ (minus Johnson) so we will need to add some youth some where. The questions are who and how many? Maybe draft 1 this year and 1 in the next or more FAs next year. It's not a screaming need today but will be sooner than later.
  7. Agreed. Unless one of the top 3 has a significant slide, I think RB is not in play at 54. It is easier to plug and play a later round RB than other positions. But what round is he projected to go? I've also seen Greenard from Florida mentioned as well as Anae from Utah. I just need more info on them all.
  8. It was stated that BOB wasn't going to trade Hopkins in the same conference let alone to his former boss. Hence the light value in return
  9. I feel like 2nd round is in play depending on how the draft plays out. We also NEED RB probably more but can find RBs later. In my opinion EDGE is also more difficult to scout.
  10. We added some EDGE talent via FA, a starter Addison and another with some flexibility (Quinton Jefferson). However the EDGE room is quite old outside of Johnson everyone is on the wrong side of 30 (Murphy is 29). I feel this is no longer the biggest need but could be in a year so, my questions to all the draftniks on this site are: 1) Does anyone think we take 2 in the draft? Where do you see value? 2) What players fit our scheme close to each draft slot we have? Thanks for doing all the heavy lifting.
  11. Please keep them coming. Laughter can save us all, at least in the moment.
  12. Via email hopefully
  13. Does anyone know how this affects their salary cap? Sucks for him but he should be set for life.
  14. Don't you know how much Ralph loved RBs?
  15. I think it causes issue with the offseason. Hopefully not the season. If we are still trying to get this under wraps come September. Life as we know it will be forever changed.
  16. Diggs A. We paid a bunch but when you are aggressively buying you lift/take the offer. Jefferson A - Love his potential and his position flexibility. We may be upset that we only inked a 2 year deal. Spain A. Continuity and a starting guard for 5 million per. Beane magic again. Addison Solid B - he's not cheap and he's "old" but he still has production and it was a huge need. I expect them to draft his replacement in April. Kroft. C Gives them flexibility and let's not write off Sweeney. Klein C He adds nice depth but hopefully there is an improvement already in house or this draft. Norman -- C- Let's see if he has anything left in the tank. At worst he'll be up and running in this defense due to his familiarity regardless of how short the offseason.
  17. It might be the bad taste he leaves in FF plus his ACL but it's a no on Lamar Miller for me. I'd rather have Hyde or even better a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
  18. So he's not into setting the edge and he doesn't get a bunch of sacks. How much did we pay him? More reasons Seattle doesn't make this trade.
  19. I'm not sure Seattle would make that trade. They did use #27 on him 3 years ago, he did average 5.3 per carry. Across the the league I'd say Penny is worth a 4-6 round pick as a trade. He does have 2 years left on rookie deal. I'm not sure we would get that for Murphy.
  20. Wasn't there a new rule about new topics generated by newbies? Was that revoked?
  21. I'm not sure he would sign it but I'd be in with a incentive laden contract....
  22. He just happens to be a fan of Lloyd Christmas' barber!
  23. It a no for me. Beane got good value in Singletary last year. So let him find some in this draft. More often than not it's better to do it through the draft.
  24. Agreed, how far can they slide and still get him? I would think 5 to Miami for sure, possibly 6
