Yay, at least we have the next inside guy installed for when the Gailey/Nix regime gets booted.

Only thing with it is that we drafted Maybin as a DE... Had we drafted him as OLB we took the #5 OLB before any of the others... 1st pick aside draft was good. Maybin may turn out to his paycheck at OLB in 3-4 which would make 2009 an excellent draft. Let's hope we'll have plenty of that draft magic left from where it came for 2010 draft.

Errr Dan... Vince Young may not be such a good example... Sure he's doing good now but his first season... lol... Edit no matter what getting a QB that succeeds has about a 30% success ratio on first rounders. The question is what are the factors making it a success... Know the answer and become a rich man...

Well look at it this way... Last year when we did the o-line experiment about 70% said the same, let's give this a chance, TO is here, we'll be brilliant. I was one of those wearing pink colored glasses... Now we hire an OC as HC that hasnt proven anything as HC in his past 7 year in college other then mediocrity, we're about to hire a RB coach as OC. Gaileys last year as OC in the NFL he posted a 2-14 record and his so called NFL HC experience was done with an extremely talented team more then 10 years ago which he didnt build himself. His college team he did build himself and that is something more to worry about. Reality is that the guy hasnt shown anything for the past 8 years. On top of that Gailey announced he'll most likely hire a bunch of nonames as his assistants. Thing is if we hired a guy with real HC experience we could have had Gailey as OC just as easy, the fact that Gailey didnt bring any staff with him shows he was as surprised as anyone he landed this job. Then we finally get rid of John Guy which does seem to be something possitive however we don't have any replacement lined up... Again... Dan Pees rumour can't be anything but false as the guy quit for personal reasons which turned out to be being diagnosed with cancer: http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...ancer-in-summer I'm sure hoping everything works out but given the evidence presented at this time it's looking rather gloom and doom with the only postive thing about it that we have at least a true football passion set in Gailey and Nix. If it does work out (which I honestly hope it does) it will be more a stroke of luck then wisdom. But for now it all seems to have way too much in common with the Fins Cameron hire. Next we'll draft a PR with our #1 pick because his family is awesome and has tremendous character...

IMHO if Modrak has been bypassed on his preffered pick last year in favor or Maybin then let him stay, if he wanted the Maybin pick throw him out like yesterday. You don't draft a project with your 10th pick.

I'm going with Tim Graham his assesment on that situation... Maybe we just don't want to know if we knew...

In all honesty listening in between the lines the HC announcement prior to where he talked about character seemed to be directed at Lynch directly or at least it made me think that immediatly.
