  1. Bring back the good times. I remember it all too well.
  2. That is the most complete synopsis I've read here yet. If you know the Bills, even as a fan it's easy to see how to exploit this offense however w/some tweaks the "O" could probably expand on the ulta-conservative approach a little. Also, as you said, if we get some help that turns out to be even slight upgrades, the production should improve.
  3. Your right about the picks but what I meant about pinned was that the whole trade down argument should be pinned. There has been alot of discussion about trade down scenarios.
  4. This should probably be pinned. Many different trade down scenarios but one team not mentioned to my knowledge is trading down w/ Jacksonville. Many posts on their site have them interested in trading up to get a DT to replace Stroud or a DE which tey value even higher than DT. They seem real interested in Harvey. We could switch our #11 w/ their #26 & get back the 5th we gave them for Stroud & still get a WR/CB in the 1st. Any Better Trade Downs ? - Ideas ?
  5. Have Faith m -man. Stroud was injured, tried coming back too soon & wasn't well. He may not be the BEAST he used to be but will be a HUGE upgrade. Delrio was dilusional & now since Stroud left is desperately trying to replace him. Didn't want to pay the bonus & is looking to get younger on defense. A business move. I think you'll be a bit surprised w/ our D. Definitely far Better.
  6. You want both. Its a factor. You win with talent but can lose w/ low character. Some intangibles are worth money (pay) but talent w/o character is potentially harmful to team unity which is what makes a team click & maybe play above their particular talent level. That said - be cautious & draft high talent w/ few character issues!
  7. Agreed. Sometime you need to let the boys play ball not worry about every hit &/or tackle. Remember the almost tackle but never touched Vince Young touchdown?
  8. All very good points. BUT, I can't help thinking that with injuries being so imminent, rotation of fresh legs not only allows development, but keeps our starters healthier & fresher, not to mention it builds depth. I realize that w/ a consevative approach, these trials seem hopeful at best. I may be wrong but it also seems that once the staff likes a player or drafted one high, they seem obligated to use them & may close their eyes a bit.
  9. Some others have also said this & I wasn't going to reply but I really agree w/ this & Don't understand the admin thinking these guys weren't ready to play. What makes them not see this? If we all see it & after time the players prove their worth, What's up? I'm perplexed
  10. AND 1 Only Thing - The "P" Word. But I do think he'll reach his potential. The Staff wants to build around him so that should say something.
  11. Just jumpin on the Bus here. Considering the lack of solid defense around he definitely excelled. If he were James size the would be no talk of drafting one @ all. Defense needs depth for success. Against passing teams, we need quality nickel coverage which we apparently see as a priority now. GOOOOOOOO BILLS !!!!
  12. Anyone Heard what the latest news on CB Chris Carr ?
  13. I agree. My son is a huge Jaguar fan & was the only one nervously cheering as they beat us in my endzone a few years back. I have followed them closely just cuz. Jones is a poor route runner who fails to get open consistently even if only on 3rd down. His hand are good but concentration is weak. Lots of potential but NO THANKS. I've been telling my son for 2 years they should try switching him to TE. All Said - Not worth the aggrivation. Draft a WR & TE then see what we can do w/our FA retreads.
  14. Thanks - Seems strange though since that's what this whole forum is? - Our Opinions
  15. I agree. A ? though, since Im new to posting, what does IMO mean?
  16. Your right about Harvey. I find Rudolph Hardie from Howard Intriging He's 6-1, 270# & runs a 4.72 40. I also expect Davis gone but would hope for Dustin Keller.
  17. Not Bad - Here's what I had 1. CB - Dominique Rodgers Cromartie 2. WR - Devin Thomas 3. TE - Dustin Keller or Fred Davis 4. C - Mike Pollack 5. WR - Jordy Nelson 6. DE - Derrick Harvey 7. DT - Robert Henderson 7. OLB - Mike Humpal
  18. A lot of dream possibilities here but since WR is tight in talent & fairly deep. We probably should wait til RD 2. Since trading down requires a happy partner I believe I'll stick w/ what we have. Here Goes: (Choices based on who I believe will still be available) 1. CB - Dominique Rodgers Cromartie - Instant Impact 2. WR - Devin Thomas - Should be there 3. TE - Dustin Keller or Fred Davis - Hopefully One is still avail 4. C - Mike Pollack - An Upgrade @ Center 5. WR - Jordy Nelson 6. DE - Derrick Harvey 7. DT - Robert Henderson 7. OLB - Mike Humpal
  19. The trade down scenario is @ best a situational decision @ that time. It appears to me as though the WR talent is fairly close for the top 5 or so & therefore depends on what's left @ #11. Don't forget the "draft the best talent available" option. Things change quickly after the top 10 picks. Who's below us in Rd#1 & what do they need? W/ That said I really agree we should trade down if plausible.
