  1. A lot of people would love to see the Bills take Devin Thomas. He looks great on his hi-light film, but that's exactly what it is. Not sure if we should take him or not. I was just wondering, for all the people out there, including myself, do any of you out there know of any notable one year wonders who made a great impact in the NFL and became very players at the next level?
  2. That would be the idea situation. Get all of our needs, and some extra picks. If we can trade with the Vikes at #17 then I'd be very pleased
  3. I'm not gonna disagree with you on that, but I really do hope that we get either Sweed, Thomas, Hardy, or Kelly. We need one of these guys, IMO, just not at 11
  4. That would be great but I don't see us trading JP. That means we need all the picks we can get to address WR, TE, C, DB, and DE. I those are our needs, in that order
  5. It seems like the past week or two Albert has been moving up draft charts, at least on this board. Was he always projected to go very high, meaning early-mid first round?
  6. I hope they don't do that. I don't think we are a player away from being a dominant team, but I do think we have a good shot at the playoffs. If we trade our first next year and just fall short of making the places, or making noise in the playoffs, it would hurt not to have a 1st rounder (unless we did well in FA to address certain needs)
  7. that's funny! But why is called the Derrick Dockery show if everyone is hosted by Jabari Greer?
  8. I don't know how to calculate the value formula for draft picks, but would we have to trade our 2nd to get back in the 1st round or would it be a 3rd and combo of another pick? Anyone have an idea?
  9. Ha, I know. That's what worries me. Why don't we stockpile our DE and go into the season with midgets at #2 Wr spot
  10. I don't think we should use one with the #11, but I wouldn't mind if we did. That being said, I have no idea what the Bills brass has in mind and how they are ranking players. If we don't take a WR at 11, and don't trade down, I hope we trade back into the first round. If we don't get Sweed (who I prefer most), Thomas, or Hardy I'd be pretty upset
  11. I don't like any of them at 11
  12. I kind of agree with on this one. But I would trade down to get him. His game film is impressive and he has a proven track record. Scouts said that although his 40 times was slow, he impressed in all the receiving frills. He has great hands and would be a great red zone target. I'm not sure if the value is there at 11, but I wouldn't mind. Maybe we are one of the few who agree on this
  13. Buffalo News reported that the Bills don't rate any of the WR's high enough to use withthe #11. So if we don't trade down, we're not taking one
  14. hope this wasn't posted already "Word is" the Bills don't consider any receivers in this draft worthy of the No. 11 overall pick, according to the Buffalo News. After Malcolm Kelly's poor Pro Day, Devin Thomas, DeSean Jackson, and Limas Sweed appear to be competing to be the first wideout taken. The Bills are known to be zeroing in on big wideouts. Perhaps they'll consider trading down a few spots to get Thomas (6'2) or Sweed (6'4) later in round one. per rotoworld
  15. Was that Josh Johnson next to him in the 1st video?
  16. Until Devin Thomas went to the combine, where was he projected to go? He did have an outstanding year this past year, but he has no track record. I'd feel a lot better with Limas Sweed
  17. he was a pompous ass. good riddance
  18. He will run in front of scouts Updating a previous item, the agent for Oklahoma WR Malcolm Kelly says his client will run on Astroturf for pro scouts on April 16. The idea of Kelly restricting anyone from watching him workout was strange to say the least. Astroturf is not an NFL playing surface anymore, however, so even if he runs in the 4.4s we doubt it will help his stock whatsoever.
  19. It's reported that the Texans are looking for a left tackle with their pick. Texans beat reporter John McClain believes the team will take a left tackle with its first-round pick, but is "fairly certain" it won't be Jeff Otah (Pittsburgh) or Gosder Cherilus (Boston College). McClain says both are more suited for right tackle at the next level. Houston could have Otah low on its board because he isn't especially mobile and the Texans use zone blocking. Vandy's Chris Williams is a strong possibility if he's available. Duane Brown (Virginia Tech) is a sleeper to go 18th. They might be a possible trading partner if the Bills want to trade down now
  20. I totally agree. This doesn't mean he has bad character. Imagine if you just found out you weren't going to make a ton of more money because you had to run on a surface you weren't accustomed too. Give the guy a break. This is his livelihood we are talking about
  21. This 40 times stuff drives me nuts. I'm not saying that Kelly is the pick at #11 even if he ran a 4.4, but this is STRAIGHT line speed, WITHOUT pads. If he has good hands, which he does and looked good in receiver drills, and runs good routes, and has the size to bully DB's, the 40 times shouldn't matter too much. These combines make everyone 40 times crazy. I don't think it's all that important. We have a speedster in Evans, with Kelly we would have a red zone threat, a possession receiver and large target for Trent to throw too.
  22. That is absolutely hilarious!!!!
  23. you think the Bengals will still bring him back to their complex after this?
