  1. Just curious
  2. Thanks for the insight. I would imagine then, after playing college football, that he doesn't have a horseshoe kidney because as you said, doctors wouldn't allow it.
  3. I'm not a doctor, but when I played football in high school our QB got bruised kidneys and was out for some time. I would imagine having only one, makes the risk higher. I don't know if it really means anything, I'm just surprised that it hasn't been discussed
  4. I posted this in a thread the other day, but I was wondering what people think of this. I read in an NFL mock draft on nfl.com that DRC only has one kidney. In such a physical game, I'm surprised no one has ever brought that up. I personally don't want him, but many on this board have said they would be thrilled to have him. Would any of you be concerned with this fact? Rodgers-Cromartie only has one kidney and it could be a medical concern. His skills are just what the Saints need even though they signed Randal Gay. They could look at linebacker Keith Rivers or a tight end, but the corners will be graded higher at this point. http://www.nfl.com/news/story;jsessionid=3...mp;confirm=true
  5. I don't know if this has been posted before, but I just read that DRC has only one kidney. Shouldn't that be a concern?
  6. With one of the youngest teams in the league I have to go with No COuntry for Old Men
  7. From what I've read it doesnt sound like he does much catching at all
  8. Calm the F down. No one is saying to use the 1st round pick, or even the 2nd round pick on a TE. We just want to upgrade. Take off the diaper and breathe
  9. I'd say the same about JP. He got d!cked around royally
  10. I know his name has been exhausted in threads for a while now, but after reading so many posts on who we should take at 11 I think it's worth a question. If we had signed B. Johnson, if even for a year, we would have been able to take the top CB or DE at 11 and then a TE or WR in the 2nd round and so on. I feel like we are going to take Malcolm Kelly at 11, but obviously that's just my opinion. I think, had we signed Johnson, it would have alleviated some of the pressure to upgrade the offense. We didn't want to give him a multi year deal of the magnitude he wanted, however, I still would have given him a one year deal. Had he had a good year and left as a FA, then at least the WR we drafted would have had a year of study and room to get better without the pressure of being "the man", or at least the "#2 man". This topic has probablt been spoken about, but I just needed to vent. Any thoughts?
  11. I don't like the Bennett pick. They have Keller and Davis going in the middle of the 3rd round. Taking Bennett there would be a reach
  12. I wouldn't have had anything to write in the message other than a lonely per rotoworld had I included to the Titans in the header
  13. per rotoworld.
  14. would any of you guys want him if we trade JP? Chiefs coach Herm Edwards says he wouldn't be averse to heading into the season with Brodie Croyle, Tyler Thigpen, and a rookie on the roster. The wheels appear to be coming off in Kansas City. Damon Huard is currently the Chiefs' best option to win games, so it's quite perplexing for Edwards to openly talk about shopping or releasing him. Thigpen couldn't stay healthy in practice last year and Croyle was 0-6 as a starter in 2007.
  15. Agreed! Unless you are a quarterback, this cold weather non-sense, IMO, does out the window. It's tough for the QB to throw in cold winds in Buffalo, but when was the last time you saw and NFL WR without gloves. Not like his hands will be all that cold. They have heaters on the sideline, and they get paid millions of dollars. The Bills go out and find high character guys who don't give and F what the weather is. You NEVER draft according to where a guy plays, plus, how many college teams play deep enough into winter for it to count anyways?
  16. i know that every team has a particular need, and some might have certain players valued differently, but in this ESPN article it states that people believe Sweed won't be considered for the Cowboys at 22. This could mean nothing at all with concern to us, however, could this be a small indication that teams are not valuing these WR's as high as some think? I have been all for drafting a WR, but as more time has gone on, it looks like guys like Thomas, Sweed, or Hardy might be there in the 2nd round. My initial reason to draft one in the 1st was to get one of the top 4 receivers. We still might be able to do that in the 2nd. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3305086 Despite what other mock draft "experts" are writing, the Cowboys desperately need help at receiver. When Terrell Owens wasn't at full speed because of an ankle sprain and Patrick Crayton wasn't ready for prime time, the Cowboys faltered in a playoff loss to the Giants. T.O. remains in peak physical condition, but the Cowboys must start planning for a future without him. Right now, the Cowboys are exploring trades for stars such as Chad Johnson and Anquan Boldin, but it won't happen. Shortly after the release of my second mock, league sources strongly hinted that Sweed wasn't the guy at No. 22. Unless they trade down, there's a good chance the Cowboys will choose between Stewart and Arkansas running back Felix Jones at that spot. I would take Stewart even though he may be out four to six months following toe surgery. Jones could be a solid complement to Marion Barber, but Stewart is a home run back. I still believe that he'll have a better pro career than Darren McFadden. (Take a second to write that bold prediction down.)
  17. Chris Brown writes that he thinks the Godfrey would be a good fit for the Bills. His Pro-Day is tomorrow. He is fast with 4.4 40 speed and has great size at 6'1 and 208. I know nothing about him other than these measurables and the fact he played in the Big Ten. Have any of you seen him play, or know anything about him?
  18. Just watched a Crabtree highlight video, he's a man among boys out there and he's a freshman! Only two games last year with under 100 yards receiving, 7 games over 150, 2 games over 200. Only 3 games he didn't have a TD and had 5 games with 3!!! Wow. Never knew about him. Was I on another planet or something? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPz7caPqoJE
  19. Haha, I like the confidence. I wa just wondering if anyone knew of any WR's for next year that might be better than this class
  20. A lot of people are saying that taking a WR at 11 is not the right choice because the talent doesn't warrant the pick. If we don't draft one in the first round, are there any stud receivers who will be in the draft next year that any of you know of who would be the big receiver type we are looking for?
  21. I saw that too. But he'd be a great endzone target and possession receiver. I keep going back and forth on Kelly and Sweed, but I'd take either one
  22. He definitely doesn't just run go-routes
  23. I had never heard this guy talk other than that stupid rap that was posted earlier this winter, but I listened to the interview and he sounds like a great kid with a good head on his shoulders. He says he has played in the cold weather, and he also does a lot of charity work. I'm not sure if his character was ever questioned, like Hardy, but he seems like a good kid. If we can ever get him to run the 40 and dispell some of the worries about his speed, I think he'd be a great fit http://wgr.everyzing.com/viewMedia.jsp?res...ilter=0&x=0
  24. Looks like Kelly and Sweed are the favorites. Surprise, Surprise
