  1. would have been a good special teamer and FB. Oh well. Let's get Owen Schmitt or Peyton Hillis
  2. As expected, Chiefs franchise player Jared Allen is in the Twin Cities on Friday to visit with Vikings officials. The Vikings are expected to try and keep Allen in town until an agreement is reached. Minnesota seems poised to offer Allen a record setting contract. If this happens, the Vikings won't need to move up to get a DE and therefore we won't have a partner to trade down with. Looking more and more like we take a top CB at #11
  3. thank god i didn't post this same info 12 hours earlier......hint....hint
  4. Not my book, just forgot to add per rotoworld to the original post. I was more than a little baffled by that as well
  5. wow, i got one right
  6. I'm not saying we should get him, but he plays hard every game. He never gets in trouble off the field. He voices his frustration out in the media, which is the wrong way to go. But as far as I've heard, he's a good teammate who plays hard and makes plays. He feels he is getting a raw deal in Cincy and maybe he is. I think if he came to Buffalo the only thing we would have to deal with is his endzone celebrations, which I think the fans would love to watch anyway. On a team with a bunch of convicts he has been a model citizen off the field.
  7. Sweed (at #19) Flowers Bennett
  8. The Chiefs are willing to listen to trade offers for Jared Allen, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter and FoxSports.com. He is visiting Minnesota on Friday and is expected to visit Tampa next Friday. Allen is one of the five most valuable defensive players in the NFL, so any trade for him would be a blockbuster. It's a curious move by the Chiefs, who placed the franchise tag on Allen. They can rebuild with draft picks, but they are admitting they can't afford to keep their top talent. Allen will likely require a huge contract, a first-round pick, and probably more for any interested suitors. Minnesota has a higher first round pick than Tampa and is likely the favorite. Look for a trade on or before draft day.
  9. No way we can spend top dollar on both Evans and Chad. Can't see them spending that type of money
  10. That sounds about right. Maybe a 2nd rounder though
  11. I don't see any way the Bills trade Kelsay
  12. 11. Buffalo Bills -- Devin Thomas, WR, Michigan State Record: 7-9 | Needs: WR, TE, CB, DE, FS Scenario 1: Wide receiver is the top need, and the word on the street is the Bills will reach for Thomas if they can't make a deal to trade back a few spots. Scenario 2: Cornerback is a possibility, and McKelvin and Jenkins seem like the best fits if the Bills go that route. Scenario 3: While it doesn't seem like a pressing need, don't be surprised if the Bills end up pulling the trigger on Harvey. With Anthony Hargrove suspended for the 2008 season and Al Wallace expected to depart through free agency, Buffalo needs help at end.

  14. Trade down if you can
  15. more news In addition to running his forty in the mid-4.6 range at Wednesday's private Pro Day, NFL.com's Gil Brandt reports Malcolm Kelly benched 225 14 times. Kelly's camp sent out an email saying he touched the mid-4.4s, but Brandt had Kelly at 4.63, 4.65 on a fast track. Kelly's short shuttle was 4.15. He was thrown 22 "catchable passes" from stand-in QB Eric Crouch and caught 21.
  16. apparently his 40 time didn't sway their opinion. maybe we get him the 2nd round and go harvey or CB in the 1st. That would be amazing IMO. "Him running that 40 time didn't alter where we put him on the board," said Modrak. "We thought he was going to run on the clock much differently - a little bit better than that. We figured he was a 4.5, 4.6 guy. Those guys can play. We don't think everybody needs to be 4.3, 4.4. Michael Irvin didn't run 4.4s, and he's a 6-foot-4 guy who's 230, that does make a difference obviously. Just that alone did not change it for us. It's a part of it, it's a piece of it and we'll mix it in."
  17. I think Keller is too small. Just 6'2. Might be more of a Dallas Clark type and play in the backfield or off the line. Not that Dallas Clark is bad, because he isn't, but we need a bigger red zone target than that.
  18. I don't think there is any way we get Sheppard. I'd love too, but just don't see it
  19. Ha, yea I agree. I think I've posted numerous conflicting messages on who I think we should draft. Can it just be April 26th already?
  20. 1) Take McKelvin, Harvey, or Talib at 11, then hope for Hardy or Kelly in the 2nd or 2) Take Devin Thomas at 11, then Cason, Flowers, or Fred Davis in the 2nd?
  21. has us taking McKelvin in the 1st and Jordy Nelson in the 2nd. Thoughts?
  22. I would love the trade down, just not sure if Thomas should be our guy. I wouldn't be disappointed, but I think Sweed is the more complete player and has a little more size. Devin Thomas on film, however, looks like a beast who can take a hit over the middle and isn't afraid of contact
  23. I would have to disagree with you on that one. System or no system, as a freshman playing college football for the first time, he was a man among boys. He was the best WR in the country, maybe the best offensive weapon in all of football. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPz7caPqoJE
