  1. All I ever heard him say was how disappointed he was to not be back and how he wanted to play for the Buffalo Bills until he retired.
  2. Break Marcia physically, mentally, and emotionally today! LET'S GO BILLS!
  3. The official game log (available in one of the other threads here) states that it was a catch, followed by a fumble out of bounds. As you cannot fumble forward out of bounds, the ball is placed at the spot of the fumble. And here it is: http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/56234/DET_Gamebook.pdf
  4. Posted in the other prediction thread: Bills - 72 (4 passing TDs, 3 rushing TDs, 2 pick sixes, return TD, and a safety) Low down dirty stinking cheating patriots* - 0

  6. Lest we be too quick to judge, there is a Bills fan out there somewhere with OJ's mugshot tattooed to his leg...
  7. Ok... which one of you is Rodak and why are you stealing my thread topics for your crappy ESPN blog?
  8. "I know they list me as a quarterback, but I'm a REALLY good receiver, too!"
  9. Orton is 5-0 against Detroit... that is a better winning percentage...
  10. Luckily, most of us here aren't on the roster, so we can feel free to look at, and beyond, the New England game. Do I want the team to be looking at things like I am now? Absolutely not. But, because neither I nor anybody else here will have even the slightest impact on the results of the upcoming games (short of creating volume problems for visiting teams), it is a wonderful feeling to be able to have a conversation like this. It is okay for fans to look into the future and hazard guesses or show optimism that extends beyond the coming weekend. Enjoy it. When was the last time we could even think about such a thing?
  11. It doesn't hurt that 5 of the next 7 are at home either.
  12. I still think it is a little early to fully assess the trade, being only 5 games in. I did, however , vote "Yes, he's worth it" because I am leaning heavily in that direction and think he will at the very least be the best receiver this team has seen since Eric Moulds, by far.
  13. Maybe I should've had somebody shine a laser in my eyes...
  14. They should have an "Orange Out" at Sun Life stadium. Maybe then all of the empty seats could be mistaken for fans... I can see potential losses to NE* and KC, but who else in the next seven weeks do you see being as big a threat as those two to give us the third "L"?
  15. The next 7 games of the Bills season: 10/12 - vs. NE* 10/19 - vs. MIN 10/26 - @ NJJ 11/9 - vs. KC 11/13 - @ MIA (Thursday Night) 11/23 - vs. NJJ 11/30 - vs. CLE My outlook on the schedule has shifted significantly as the season has progressed, and looking at the next seven games, I do not see a game that we are not more than capable of winning. Could the Bills possibly be unbeaten in October and November? I am not making a guarantee or prediction in any way, but see it as a distinct possibility. Which of these teams truly scare you? I don't see a game that makes me go, "Jeez... that's gonna be a tough one," until we play @ DEN on 12/7. The Bills, if they play to their talent level, could exit November with a 10-2 record... hell, even if they fall to NE this weekend, 9-3 after 12 games looks like something good to me. They are then @ DEN (tough to beat Manning, especially at home), vs. GB (this team is tough, but who knows how they may be impacted playing in a raucous Ralph), @ OAK (the worst team in the league, nuff said), and @ NE* (could be a pivotal game with the division on the line). Supposed the bills split the last 4, or even go 1-3... this season could be something spectacular, boys and girls. GO BILLS! - edited to correct for omitted asterisk on the last mention of NE*
  16. Bill, you can't question Schwartz today. His defense held the Lions to 7 points, had 2 takeaways and racked up 6 sacks. I am wholeheartedly on board the Schwatz-wagon.
  17. Can creepy Rob Lowe play QB and hit open receivers? If so, I'll take him.
  18. I don't think we can really judge Hackett's game plans yet. I admit, the decision to throw as much as we did in Houston is a question mark, but judging by how many times receivers were running open and we're either missed or not even looked at, I think it could have been very successful had it been executed properly. If we see better, or even just competent, execution from the quarterback position moving forward with Orton, Hackett's play calling and game planning will be much easier to judge. He had his receivers in a position to succeed in a pass heavy game plan in Houston, but the limitations at the quarterback position sabotaged it from under center.
  19. Seeing all of those receivers running free down the field and watching the QB dump it off to the RB or short outlet every time makes me feel sick to my stomach. The Houston game shouldn't have been close. Just make the throws to the open guys running wild down field and the points would have been piling up.
