  1. Favre was traded from Atlanta to GB for a low round draft pick before getting his chance and lighting it up for more than a decade in GB. Not saying Brohm will be any good. My point is that you cannot say that he isn't just because he hasn't shown it yet. Steve Young sucked in Tampa and was great in San Fran. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. It happens. Again, not saying that Brohm will be the next great one. Just saying nobody knows right now.
  2. He was pretty highly touted coming out of college but he never seemed to fit in GB. Maybe a change of scenery will kick start his career. You never know.
  3. Why do people get so worked up about what some clown says on TV ? It's his opinion and everyone knows what they say about opinions. Clearly the guy did no research and just took an easy cheapshot. Did you lose your remote control? If not, turn the channel.
  4. I am glad the Bills signed someone, and I am hopeful that Simmons can return to his previoius form. But, I have a hard time believing that the Pats* would have cut him a few weeks ago if he could play right now. NE* has had some injuries on their line and would definitely have kept Simmons if he was able to play. I have a feeling he is damaged goods right now. Hopefully I am wrong. If he can play, this is a great pickup.
  5. I would love for the Bills to hire Schottenheimer as a front office guy (GM, President, Consultant, etc). I think he is a mediocre coach and even if he were hired to coach, he can only coach for a short time (2-5 years max). I know, I know. Marv was old, blah blah blah. Marty is 67 years old. He's not a long term solution. But I think he could help in a consultative capacity for a few years like Parcells is doing in Miami.
  6. Sully is a D-bag. He is paid to be negative and stir controversy.
  7. Maybe I am way off, but I think Graham is mistating this. Cowher declined because, as has been reported numerous times, he wants to wait until after the season to discuss any Head coaching opportunities. Even Graham's article says that Cowher denied a meeting for now. That does not mean he is not interested and does not mean he won't meet with the Bills at the end of the season. Shanahan said that he won't make a decision until aster the season, but he is willing to have a meeting now. Unless Tim has more info, I think this is much ado about nothing. The thing I liked most about the NFL report on the Bills and Cowher was that Cowher wants to coach only, no front office duties. That is what I want from the next coach. Hire a GM to be GM and a Coach to coach. I would love Cowher here, I would be happy with Shanhan, Dungy or Holmgren. I'd be fine with Mariucci, Billick or Fassel. I would be disappointed with anyone else(unless we get a kick ass GM and he brings in a young energetic coach, I would be OK with that too).
  8. I don't see what is ironic about this. I think it is moronic that the Bills have not found a way to get T.O. and Lee Evans the ball 10 times each per game.

  10. I really think we end up with Dungy as head coach.
  11. Is there any other kind ?
  12. He's not playing because he sucks. He cannot read defenses and only throws to wide open receivers. He is not an NFL quality QB. Let's stop with the concussion excuse and call a spade a spade. Trent sucks. Next.
  13. Cowher would be my top choice but only as HC with input into player acquisition. Not as HC/GM. The Bills need a GM regardless of who is hired to coach.
  14. Sign me up. I would be happy with that pairing. My biggest difficulty with Dungy (as mentioned by another poster earlier) is that he would probably keep the Tampa 2 defense which drives me crazy.
  15. Dungy as HC with an actual GM (like Floyd Reese or someone like him) would be my dream scenario. I don't really want Cowher or Shanahan as Coach and GM. I think it is pretty well proven that one person cannot do both roles and do them well. Give me Reese and Dungy and I would be thrilled. But then we'd have Vick, not too sure about that.
  16. I would definitely pay an additional 25-50% and I would sign a 10 year commitment if Ralph signs a lease extension and hires a real football guy to run the show.
  17. Bradford is listed at 6'4" 223lbs. Hardly seems like size/weight is an issue.
  18. I have a feeling Ralph will hire Mike Holmgren to run the show. He will be President/GM and he will hire the next coaching staff and will oversee the re-shaping of the football operations.
  19. Didn't he have a falling out with Ralph a while back? I thought I remembered that being the reason he was not considered for the HC spot here years ago. Does anyone remember this?
  20. What about Jason Garrett or Jim Harbaugh ?
  21. ESPN announced today that Gruden has signed a multi-year extension to stay on MNF, so you can probably take him out of the carousel for atleast this year.
  22. If they were going to fire Dick during the season, it would have happened during the bye week. They will not fire him this week. Possibly if thing continue to spiral out of control, he will be fired in a few weeks. But I don't expect anything until after the season and I still would not be surprised if he is not fired at all especially if he gets 6-7 wins.
  23. I could see the Bills following the plan like the Dolphins did with Parcells. Bring in Holmgren or someone like that to run the team and let them hire a puppet head coach.
  24. We missed out on Big Ben a few years back by only 2 spots. Every spot you move down is a bigger chance that the QB of the Future will be taken by someone else.
