  1. Tell John Madden to take the rest of the year off. I know I'm stating the obvious, but the Michaels/Collinsworth combo is much easier to listen to...even though the game is a real stinker.
  2. No......the play calling is not geared towards passes to the tight end because of WHO our tight ends are.
  3. Well, at least he's consistent.......he's a douche when he wins and when he loses. I took great pleasure in watching that game.....hope the Bills can do the same thing when they play 'em.
  4. Yeah, because i'm sure you don't want him to rack up fantasy points next week!
  5. I bet that someone on this board will change their screen name to "JP's Beard" after reading this thread.
  6. Yeah, that won me $20 on a "lasts longer undefeated" bet I made two weeks ago with a Cowboy fan.
  7. Owens was the guy who ran it on the fake punt.
  8. Jags/Texans on down here. 7-0 Jags on a fake punt that everyone in the world knew was coming.........except for the Texans. Is it 4:00 yet?
  9. I'm with ya on the optimistic side, Dr., but here's a more "curbed enthusiasm" way to look at it: If the Bills beat St. Louis, they can go 6-6 the rest of the way, finish 10-6, and most likely still make the playoffs.
  10. I think it was Peters that made the adjustment to the speed rush of Burgess--he finally started to play for the speed rush and ride him out wide. Burgess was the only Raider getting consistent pressure--once he was neutralized, things got a little easier. Maybe Burgess just flat tired himself out by speed-rushing on every passing play.
  11. It was a lesson that obviously needed to be learned--glad it could be taught in a W instead of a loss. As for the Rams, their defense (especially the DB's) is nowhere near as good as the defenses the Bills have faced thus far. Get off to a good start, and the Rams will quit-- as evidenced by today's performance vs. Seattle.
  12. If being a moron forces someone to stop posting in this thread, you should have been stopped after post #1.
  13. Hey, maybe you've seen my Bills plate proudly displayed on the front of my car. I agree with you, I see a lot of other Bills plates, bumper stickers, etc. around here as well.
  14. At the end of his tenure with the Rams, he was having major fumbling problems, wasn't he? I believe he had some concussion issues as well. Maybe the few years of relative inactivity allowed him to heal up and clear out the cobwebs a little. Having Boldin and Fitzgerald certainly helps, as well.
  15. That was my first thought about the Raider game after the Jags game on Sunday. Last week was for Big Marcus, this week is for Big Langston!! GO BILLS!!!
  16. Not only that, he ran exactly the same play to the same reciever as the touchdown pass.
  17. Two weeks, two excrutiating losses. Isn't that usually how the Bills season starts? Feels good to be on the other side of the spectrum for a change!!!!
  18. I see "The Dean" is finally out of the witness protection program!
  19. I'm not going to the game, unfortunately, but thankfully it won't be blacked out: http://www.jaguars.com/news/article.aspx?id=7236 Can you believe Jags home games are blacked out all the way down here in Orlando? Obviously I normally don't care, but the last two Bills/Jags games have been blacked out.(The only two games ive missed seeing in over 10 years)
  20. Who wants to join the Bernard Pollard fan club???????? Check it out: http://www.believemerch.com/product/bernar...CFQhdswod4Raqiw
  21. I was thinking: Yeah, you shot 80.....on the front nine!
  22. That might be true, but no one wants to spend a numer 2 pick overall on a guard.
  23. One of the factors leading to the slow starts of the Bills in recent years has been the difficulty of their schedule(among other things, of course). This year that is certainly not the case. Obviously, Jacksonville is not going to be an easy game, but its not out of the realm of possibility that the Bills can win that game. The next three games are games where the Bills should have the advantage: Oakland, probably the worst team in the NFL this year. St. Louis, probably in the bottom five of worst teams in the NFL this year. Arizona, a decent team that looked rather unimpressive vs. a sorry 49ers team. These games are by no means locks, but if the Bills want to compete in a now wide open AFC East, they have to assert themselves in these games before the bye. Dare I ask what are the odds we could see the Bills at 5-0 at the bye? 4-1? Or a more conservative 3-2?
  24. I was pleased to see the offense remain somewhat aggressive even with the lead. Its important that the coach shows confidence in the abilities of his players. Obviously, with the way things were going last year, its understandable that DJ wanted to play it close to the vest. We should see the agressiveness of the offense and the defense as a sign that DJ and the coaching staff are finally comfortable with the talent assembled to execute a broader gameplan. Lets hope that the Bills can come down here to the Florida heat next week and put a hurtin' on the Jags! GO BILLS!!!
