  1. Disturbing analogy...Talk about painting a picture!!! But well said nonetheless...
  2. I do agree with you...But in defense of those calling AW a bust...He has been exceptionally bad in comparison...I mean...He has got toasted more than a box of pop tarts...
  3. The simple answer to the question you seem to be posting is that Fitz is a QB...And I'm quite sure you understand the scrutiny that is attached to that position in comparison to others...QB is king and everyone knows it... I do find it interesting that you see Fitz as this guys who scores points regularly despite the fact that he's overcoming this terrible lack of talent...When in reality Fitz is a proven turnover machine with the most turnovers (INT's and fumbles lost) of ANY NFL QB over the past three years combined...Fitz turns the ball over at a clip of 1.5 times per game...You can't hide that, nor can you make excuses for it...He's #1...Period... Your assessment of the Bills O-Line as it is now is just off...Do the Bills have the best o-Line in the league?...No they do not...Is it light years better than it was 5 years ago? You bet it is...I've seen Fitz have plenty of time to throw over and over again only to throw the ball off target, or chuck and duck at the last possible moment...He cannot extend a play to save his life...He a decent straight ahead runner but his pocket presence and ability to slide in order to get a completion is terrible...His accuracy plummets when he's asked to anything besides take the exact proper drop and get the ball off on time perfectly...He's the polar opposite of the-type QB that excels in today's NFL...Even tall, lanky, and much slower QB's like Brady and Flacco are 100 times better at extending plays and making something out of nothing than Fitz is...Don't even mention the QB's like Brees, Big Ben and Rodgers who are the best at extending plays in and out of the pocket...It's like they are in a completely different league than Fitz... I also think you're selling Chandler WAY short... But this gets back to the same thing some of us have been trying to explain for a while around here...The Bills have needs all over this Team...That does not excuse Fitz whatsoever...The two, or three, or four things can and have coexisted on this team for some time now...Just because folks don't complain as much about the other shortcomings on this team does not make Fitz any better...And to some of us, Fitz was never good enough, and we warned Bills fans like you of that exact fact 3 years ago...So sure we're tougher on Fitz because we knew he was not good enough then, and all he did to change our minds was have a decent 6 game stretch at the beginning of 2011...That stretch was surrounded by the fact that Fitz , once again, lead the entire NFL in the past 3 years combined in turning the ball over...So darn right we're going to be more critical of Fitz...It's a QB's league...We've watched the Bills pass on young QB's who are light years better than Fitz already, just because the Bills Coaching Staff and Front Office believed Fitz was the answer at QB...Something many of us never believed...Ever...So yes!...Absolutely we're tired of Fitz...And no question he takes the brunt of the blame...He should...He's a QB who lacks the physical skills to be a consistent winner in this league...He's now had 5 NFL seasons in which he has started at least 8 games...And his best record in those 5 Seasons is 4-4...And that was in 2009... The guy is now 23-44-1 as a starter in the NFL without a single season over .500...Is it all his fault? Of course not...But the evidence is pretty clear Fitz is what he is...The sample is more than big enough to make proper evaluations on Fitz...And the final evaluation should be he's not good enough... And even if it's 100% unscientific, why in God's name would any team want to place their Franchise in the hands of a QB with the foul stench of losing and turning the ball over on him that Fitz has? Why? Move on...Cut your ties and move on from that guy...He was never good enough, he's not good enough now, and he'll never be good enough...So why bother?... Anyway...
  4. I know you have your opinion based on what you have seen...But the Scouts I really like and trust could not disagree with you more...And some of these guys specifically did not like Maybin...Like Mike Mayock for example... Could he be better vs the run overall? Of course he could...Almost any prospect could...But he was the focal point of a lot of blocking schemes too...And the kid is an absolute freak athlete...Maybin wishes he was the type of athlete Jordan is... Here's a quick analysis about Jordan that was written in January by David Syvertsen, and posted on Great Blue North...It pretty much sums up what I think when I see Jordan play... LB Dion Jordan – Oregon - 6-7/243 .... What coaches and general managers want at the top of round one is upside, versatility, and the ability to contribute early on. Dion Jordan has all three. A freakish athlete with his ability to play low despite his height. Technically sound with good arm/hand use. Very fast, very fluid in space. Jordan spent a lot of time rushing the edge, out wide in coverage against wide receivers, and filling lanes against the run. He has the frame for more weight, and he will fit in to any scheme. Jordan is an explosive athlete with length, aggression, and versatility. He is a top 10 caliber player. <>
  5. 18 months? Wow!I had not heard that? If that's true it certainly can't help his Draft stock...Though... Despite the fact that his size looks picture perfect for that hybrid DE/OLB position in many 3-4 alignments, Jordan did drop in coverage a good bit at Oregon...I think teams are going to be much more concerned about the health/soundness of the shoulder than how much weight he can put on in the next 6 Months...Simply because he's a more diverse player that can fit into multiple schemes...I don't think he's a guy that can only rush the passer standing up and that's all he can do...I still think he's a Top 10 talent no matter what...His upside is almost limitless...
  6. Nix is solid?... There is so much evidence to that contrary of that statement right here on TBD, I'll just leave it up to the search option to make the counter argument... But thanks anyway...I needed a good laugh today...
  7. Perfectly stated Sir! With classy words, and style to boot!
  8. That's a very accurate assessment...Agree 100%...
  9. Thank You! And Sisyphean too!!! If Geno is gone, and The Bills stay at #8...I would be thrilled with Jordan...I've been talking about him for a while, and what he did today just blew me away...He's very well rounded, and explosive athletically...I think when the shoulder gets cleaned up he'll be able to get stronger (that's why he did not bench...He has shoulder surgery scheduled right after the Combine)...But Jordan is no Maybin...Jordan could be the next JPP, or Aldon Smith, with the ability to drop into coverage a bit...He's flexible...A 3-Down Defender...I really like that kid...
  10. I hope so...Most Mock Drafts are generally better than what Buddy has actually done...So why not?
  11. Same place he did in his Draft...Near the bottom...
  12. I know...He's lanky and a bit awkward...I'll give you that much...I might be 100% wrong on this...But I just have this feeling that he's going to go on and contribute big-time on another team...I just think he was about as rock solid as any player we had...Not spectacular by any means...But a guy who had a great feel for the passing game and did very well in his role...We'll see I guess...I just really liked the kid...And I hate to see him go...
  13. Right, because 4.5 is slow for a 6-5 WR...
  14. I threw up in my mouth...
  15. It's not good either...And it's DEFINITELY not Top 10 good... While I agree a 4.8 will not exclude Te'o from playing ILB in the NFL, lets not forget the hype that was behind him as a prospect earlier...He's not even close to being a Top 10 prospect...I don't believe he is a 1st Round prospect...But we'll see...
  16. Totally agree... My argument against Te'o early on...way back when some folks were drooling for him as a Top 10 Pick...was simply that he was too slow to go that high (I had read somewhere that Te'o ran a 4.8 last Spring)...I never thought he was too slow to play ILB in the NFL, nor did I not like the kid (this was before the whole scandal of course)...But there was no way he was a top 10 caliber athlete...Look at Dion Jordan...Now THAT is a Top 10 athlete! Te'o is the type of prospect that, without the hype, you could get in the 2nd-3rd Round and he would have a solid career for you...But I could never understand why some folks thought he would go so high...
  17. The new Scout they have on the NFL Network (I forget his name right this second, I know he worked in Philly and other NFL teams) said that he, and many of the Scouts he talked to this year, never had Te'o as a 1st Round Prospect...He said even before the Alabama game he did not have a 1st Round grade on Manti...I don't think this time is going to help Te'o at all...But it won't hurt him much either...He'll still be a 2nd-3rd Round Draft Pick...
  18. The only QB I would take at #8 would be Geno Smith...I admit that may be a little higher than he's rated...But the Buffalo Bills are in a very unique situation...And the ability to get the top rated QB in this Draft is something this Franchise absolutely cannot pass up... Otherwise I completely agree with your trade-down comment...I would almost take any trade-down offer that included a 2014 #1...I would still grab a QB with one of the 1st three picks in 2013, even in a trade down scenario...But this team has some major gaping holes all over the roster...So extra picks can't be a bad thing...And the QB class of 2014 is going to be better...Probably significantly better...
  19. True! He does have a 1st Rd name!!! I'll give him that much...
  20. I can honestly say that I was never aboard the Te'o hype train...And to be equally honest I just could not understand it...I thought, best case scenario, he was a slower Paul Posluszny-type...No way is the kid a 1st Round talent...I really don't think he's a 2nd Round talent...But I'd probably consider him in the 3rd or later...I do think he's got decent instincts...
  21. Hate to say I told you so (OK maybe not... )...But I told y'all he was slow...
  22. You're right...We do have a QB...A QB who has more turnovers than any other QB in the NFL over the past 3 years...A QB who was 27th in Total QB Rating last year...A QB with a noodle arm that everyone and their mother knows how to defend now...A QB who has one of the worst deep ball completion %, and the 2nd worst off target % in the NFL...A QB who is incapable of extending a play...A QB who chucks and ducks under pressure...A QB who has almost lost twice as many games as he has won as a career starter...And that's not just with the Bills mind you...That's the QB we have...A QB only the completely football delusional masochistic Bills Fan, or Fitz's actual relatives, want back...Which one are you Cardinal?...
  23. I'm honestly stunned that "average" is getting as many votes as it is...
